Athenree Haven: Peaceful new studio on nature's doorstep!

Athenree Haven is located in the quaint village of Athenree on the far reaches of Tauranga Harbour, Western Bay of Plenty. Our brand new self- contained studio is the perfect, peaceful centrally located spot for a relaxing or energising getaway.
The comfortable studio consists of a 3 separate spaces: living/kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom finished in a simple, stylish, natural interior.
Directly outside the bedroom and living area is a spacious, private outdoor living area with a tropical garden vibe.
Stroll on foot to the beautiful harbour’s edge to kayak, swim, fish or simply enjoy spying the fantastic bird life plus schools of fish and stingrays swimming about. Or soak in the mineral hot pools also within walking distance of your stay.
Just a few minutes’ drive away is beautiful Waihi Beach with 9 kilometers of glorious surf beach to enjoy and explore. Pop on your walking shoes and head over to stunning Orokawa Bay or scamper up ‘The Trig’ and be rewarded with breathtaking views. Waihi Beach village has everything you may need: cafes, shops and a Sunday market. Nearby historic Waihi and the Karangahake Gorge offer bush walks, gold mine, a cycle trail and a steam train.
Book an extra night or two as there are so many attractions close by! Or simply pack a book, kick back and chill!

Cozy, Comfy and perfect!

Excellent place to stay had a beautiful layout simple had all the useful things you need and want we wanted to stay longer but had to go. Definitely re-booking next time we are in the region.

Amazing place

This is truly an amazing place to stay and they accept small dogs which we were so grateful for. The place is immaculate and had the most fantastic bed. It had everything you need for a getaway. We definitely will be back and tell our friends about it.

Sweet space

The space is small and quite lovely. Particularly enjoyed the deck which extended the space and was both a cool, quiet, and private. On a nice, quiet road that’s a short walk to the ocean.

Clean, comfortable & thoughtfully decorated. Lovely quiet area. Enjoyed the outside room. Great bed. Will definitely come back. I left a good hairbrush behind and Sue notified me & is sending it by courier - really appreciated.

A lovely, relaxing comfortable stay. We had family staying at Bowentown, so this was close enough to stay, but "do our own thing" too. The unit has everything to make your stay easy - from sheets & towels to cook top, microwave & air-fryer & a swiveling TV that can be viewed either in the bedroom or lounge.

The place was modern and comfortable, a really nice space to relax. Good kitchen equipment provided and the TV swivels between the bedroom and lounge which was great. Thanks for the fast and easy check-in and good communication.

Comfortable Studio in Great Location

Studio had been thoughtfully and newly decorated and provided all kitchen and bathroom assessories for a lovely stay. Nice to have a private deck with comfy outdoor furniture. Here for 5 days and still lots to do! Accommodation 5mins walking distance from mineral hot pools- also not far by car to Waihi Beach village with shops and restaurants. Bowentown Reserve provided spectacular views - a must!
