"Honu Cove” is named for the majestic cove in Kauai, Hawaii. The motto there is "This is the first day of your life”. Perfect mantra for your family as you make memories that will last a lifetime while relaxing and enjoying the natural setting of Sandbridge Beach. The beautifully and fully renovated waterfront beach home is located on the prestigious north end of Sandbridge, a short 5 minute walk to the beach, and with RARE direct access to beautiful Crystal Lake and Lake Tecumseh. The open concept great room, kitchen with expansive island and dining room give you plenty of space for the whole family, or multiple families. Granite countertops and hardwood along with the tasteful appointments make this a great spot for any family with discriminating taste. Three master bedrooms each with en suite, two king and one queen, along with a queen bedroom, double bunkbed room, and queen air mattress make this a perfect multigenerational vacation spot! The screen porch off the great room as well as multiple decks offer both sun and shade to meet the varied needs of your family. The outdoor shower makes clean up after going to the beach a breeze for all. The private lagune style pool complete with waterfall looking into the canals off Back Bay gives a serene mood for your week at the beach. 2 person kayak and row boat are offered to guests at no charge for exploring the canals and nearby lakes to see a variety of wildlife or for fishing. Kids will love to fish off the dock or swim in the pool while adults enjoy the pool table. Also provided at no charge are 4 adult beach cruiser bikes, 2 surf boards, multiple boogie boards, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, and a cart to get your belongings to the beach, so there is something for everyone at Hone Cove!

This property is in a great location to both the beach & local restaurants. It was very clean & had everything my family needed to enjoy their stay during my son’s wedding weekend. It was too chilly for the pool but the boys jumped in anyway! The only thing of concern I would note is the indoor winding staircase, inside what is the front entrance, that leads to the kitchen & upstairs bedrooms. It’s difficult to traverse with full hands so I recommend entering the home, and sending someone up to unlock the upstairs door & everyone loading in via the southern stairs. 10/10 would recommend!

My family and I had a great long weekend here to celebrate a family wedding. The house was exactly as pictured and equipped with everything we needed for our stay and more! The communication and check-in process with Greg was one of the most seamless experiences I’ve had with an owner. Although we didn’t get to use the pool because of the sudden rainstorms, it was still very nice to look at. Will definitely look to rebook in the future for visits to the area!

This was a great place for our family to relax, swim, enjoy the beach and use Greg’s little boat to explore the area. Greg was very responsive in answering our questions and responding to our needs. We highly recommend it for a wonderful getaway.

The beach house was great! In Sandbridge, there are many beach houses, with some fancier than others. This house is in a great location, right on the end with a dock and access to the quieter side of Sandbridge beach. The owner was very responsive with any requests or questions that we had about the house. There were some ants that were pesky but we resolved the issue (it happens, especially at this time of year). The pictures really tell the story. It is not the newest beach house on the block, but accommodating, remote, and a nice stay for a vacation. We enjoyed it very much! Definitely would stay here again!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay at Honucove. It was our first time for Sandbridge. House was large enough for our family of 13. Home was clean and had everything we needed. Swimming pool was enjoyed for late afternoon and evenings. Walk wasn’t that long to beach. We enjoyed a quiet neighborhood and plenty of room on beach. It was a Great. Thanks Greg

A nice beach stay.

The description of the property was accurate. Nice house, nice pool, nice location. Most of the property was very clean. Bathrooms were relatively new and clean. Furniture and beds were in good shape. Nice neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. Our family likes birding and nature and the nearby wildlife refuge was very worthwhile. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. Good places to eat only twenty minutes away. Overall we had a great visit.

Graduation Getaway!

We enjoyed celebrating a graduation and the stay at Greg's place was perfect. Greg met us on our first day and gave us a walk through the entire house! He was very nice and very personable (thanks Greg)! The house was just as pictured and we all loved our stay!! We will be back again!!

Great Family Spot

We loved the location and easy access to the beach. We had a great time on the roof deck and the porch. We also spent a lot of time in the kitchen and the family room. Just be careful with the spiral staircase if staying with young children. Our one complaint is that we would have been liked to told beforehand that we'd only be supplied with one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and would have to purchase our own soap, shampoo, and dishwasher, as it would have saved multiple shopping trips. Overall, we enjoyed the layout and location of the house and thought it was well-suited for our needs.

Mind Body Soul Wellness Adventure

All I can say , well there is so much to say but I'll keep it brief. GREG is fabulous and yes I will definitely be back. We did a girls trip for mind body soul wellness.This home was perfect and helped us join in true sisterly bond. Great spacious andd meant everyone s needs. Ii love the neighbor he was our personal dj and didnt know it.. Will definitely come back

Beautiful home . Everything was perfect the house was well stocked and very clean. Our granddaughter was getting married the house was only 15 mins from the venue. I would definitely rent this house again. The owner is awesome

Weekend Girls Trip

This property had everything we needed! Spacious, clean, plenty of clean towels and linens. They had a binder that included recommendations for anything you might need locally. Short walking distance to the beach and even included a beach cart, enough beach chairs for everyone, and toys for the kiddos. The pool and canal were a great bonus as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you for having us!

Solid property

Overall I would call this a solid property with some opportunities. Location was great and wonderful for families with children (no sidewalks so keep an eye on the children). Kitchen, bedrooms were very nice. Manager was very welcoming and did a nice job with the check in. Some opportunities: some of the bedding did not fit the mattresses and the bedding/towels were getting pretty dated, floors needed some better cleaning and the washing machine is a front loader and has a lot of mold on the rubber (we all get this; just needs some maintenance). These are minor things which could be remedied easily and I would upscore to a 5 if they were taken care of.

The perfect set up

Great place to stay with space for everyone. The bedrooms are a nice size. 2 bedrooms are downstairs along with the gameroom and stairs out to the pool. This gave our adult children some privacy. The upstairs is spacious and bright. The kitchen is large and has everything you need to cook and serve meals. There's enough seating for everyone to eat together. I especially enjoyed the sunroom where I had my tea each morning. I could hear the waves crashing on the beach in the distance. There is also plenty of ouside seating near the pool and multiple decks. Between the pool, the waterway and the beach, there is something for everyone and always something to do. The homes are close together yet there is plenty of privacy. The house was clean and exactly as noted in the listing. Would stay again!
