Jessica was great and the condo was so awesome! We were 10ft from the boardwalk and not much further from the sand. However, it felt very safe and there were no safety concerns at all from being so close to the boardwalk. The staff was great and they have an awesome coffee machine in the lobby! We love our stay and we make lifelong family memories!!

Virginia Beach Retreat

I stayed at Barclay with my husband and daughter. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a coffee maker in the lobby where the coffee beans are freshly ground for every cup made! And it was delicious! One can select the type of coffee bean, and there is also hot chocolate. Our particular unit was very clean and very well equipped. The view of the ocean was spectacular. Our property manager was very easy to get along with, and very accessible.

Million dollar views

The check-in is so easy. The room was very clean with plenty of storage. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. If you find you need anything, the 24/7 staff will get it for you. Already want to return.

Not a great place

The only good thing about this place was the location. Right when we checked in a guests cooler full of ice (and fish) fell in front of the elevators and no one cleaned it. We left our unit a couple of hours later and the ice was left to melt and water to dry off on it's own, the following morning the elevators still smelled like fish. The unit was not very clean, the vent were extremely dusty, specially bathroom exhaust. The sofa bed was broken, very hard to open, and the sheets were not clean. The AC was EXTREMELY loud. Outside the room the elevators always smelled bad and were not clean. A units dirty bedding was left outside our units door for 2 days. Not a place I we will return to.

I had read many reviews for this place. There was no $12 daily resort fee like the one review I read and we never saw any bugs the entire week like another post I read. It was a very down to earth place and so close to everything! It was well worth the price. It is small for a family of 4 but we made it work!

The place was in a great location and our stay was memorable. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the property. The hotel itself could use better overall cleanliness. It took us three days to get clean towels because it is someone’s timeshare not a rental through them according to the desk person.

Cute little place

Great place to get away, Lots to do in the area! Beautiful area, loved our stay. Condo was clean, and perfect size for my husband and me for the week. Could use some upgrades for the kitchen equipment, but everything worked well enough for us.

Beach Time

Rented a time share unit. Unit was fine, just like it showed. Was supposed to be a non smoking resort, but I had to smell smoke the who time I was ever out on the balcony. Reported it to the desk and they just said if I couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from they couldn't do anything about it. It wasn't cigarette smoke either. Last night of our stay, there was a concert on the beach and they chose to lock the doors going out to the beach. Very inconvenient for paying guess to have to walk all the way around the resort to go in and out. Place ok to stay, but they are not really concerned about their guest.

The staff was very friendly, could of did a little better of having room cleaned as bad Oder when coming into room sweeper didn’t work and elevator broke down only leaving one workable which was very inconvenient should get some refund back.

Ocean view, lovely unit with all necessities for a week long stay. Coffee machine in the lobby. Internet wasn't super reliable and the jets on the hot tub were out but those were minor things. Had a wonderful stay.

The location is convenient to many shops and restaurants. The beach is steps away.

The unit we rented was clean and had all the necessities. We were able to buy some groceries and cook a couple of meals. We woke up to a spectacular sunrise every morning from the patio. We had a great stay.

to be honest...

we enjoyed our stay and everything went well except for checkin, which was delayed for about 2 hours because the rooms not ready because of the short staffing. Actually Mikey at the front desk had to leave his post and help housekeeping get the rooms ready which I thought was a great move by him! The room we had was great! 1st floor with private entrance to the boardwalk and beach! Room 102! Would recommend based on location and pricing

Summer 2021

We planned this trip at last minute. The property manager was very prompt in assisting me with questions as this was our first VBRO booking. The property was very nice. House keeping as an issue do to shortage of house keepers. But we were very pleased in its proximity to restaurants and other amenities. We took the trip to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday and she had a great time. Thanks again
