"Really friendly check in (and out), staff throughout the hotel were friendly. Grounds were really nice to walk around, breakfast was nice and having the additional cooked to order elements was great. Room was lovely. Minor feedback would be that the pillows were not great, but all in it was a really lovely hotel."

"Turned up to be told the manager was out and wouldn’t be back for half an hour at least, so we couldn’t check in. So had to sit and wait (we were supposed to be getting ready for a wedding). Manager treated us as though we were some sort of nuisance wanting to check in. So after nearly 45 min she arrived and asked for a £200 deposit… this wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the listing. "Hotel ideally situated just off the A12. But there is no road noise that disturbed our sleep. Room was nice and clean well stocked with tea and coffee, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and iron. Breakfast was very good and kept us topped up for most of the day. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menu had enough variety and was decently priced. Bar had a decent selection of alcoholic beverages, and not too badly priced. My only complaint would be that the towels in our room were a bit...

"Just a one night stop on business so no time to investigate in detail but very friendly and helpful staff and a very nice room. Not a big room but nicely furnished and equipped with a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and a couple of pods, tv, iron and board, etc. comfortable bed. Overall a nice comfortable night’s stay."

"The staff were absolutely amazing, me and my partner stayed for the weekend for a wedding. I felt very welcomed, and as though we had known each other for years! For that reason alone we are definitely going back. The food is great, fresh and hot! The rooms are quaint, and well presented. Initially there were a few issues which could not be helped, the staff were so attentive and apologetic, that we felt that they couldn’t have done more. So recommend this place, just for the staff alone!!"

"Spa and pool were excellent used both . No air conditioning in our Deluxe room and the Dyson fan just didn’t help much at all . Shame really . Breakfast was good one day and not quite so good the next day ( different chefs they said ) . All staff at the 3 properties were really helpful especially the chauffeuse ."

"Lovely old property on the edge of town. Front Desk staff on arrival were OK but not hugely communicative (morning team were much better). Same with the bar staff although the prices were pretty good. The room was old but clean and tidy. And HOT, although we were in a UK heatwave at the time. They do provide a fan which helped a bit. Overall a decent place to stay and would stay again if passing by that way again."
