"Martino made this hotel experience wonderful, and his knowledge and passion for the history of Matera are impressive. The hotel is located at the top of a hill, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with views of the gorgeous canyon. Our room was nice and clean and comfortable. "The total experience was excellent. We were in Room 12 and the view was worth every penny. The staff were very nice and helpful. The coffee and breakfast in the morning were excellent. You must stay here!"

The staff were super helpful reaching out prior to check in to coordinate arrival but also shared many great links to current events, restaurants, things to do etc. The room and shower were lovely, clean and spacious. The location could not have been better. Just at the top of the Sassi so easy to get to one of the main boulevards with many restaurants in the new section overlooking the Sassi as well as the Sassi itself. Parking was not available...
