"Lovely property and the museum gives it a unique edge. Breakfasts were delicious - the hot chocolate is fabulous - and the dining room staff were particularly lovely. We had some confusion on arrival about the twin room we'd booked, which caused some concern and delay, but it was resolved after an hour or so. Close to the river and lots of the city centre amenities."

"The hotel room was large and lovely. The breakfast included was very limited. The buns were stale and the coffee lukewarm. I was very disappointed in this buffet breakfast. Also there is not much of a lounge area like some of the other hotels in the area. But the bed was great and the room very spacious."

"My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was a good size and had a good view over the gardens and river. The staff were wonderful and the service was excellent. The food was first class. The hotel is in a quiet area and a little removed from the shops, museums etc but that was fine for us. "

We had dinner or dessert every night in the restaurant because it was so good. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. Even though the hotel is in the city, it was extremely quiet."

Our return flight got cancelled due to weather at the return location and had to stay an extra 5 days and the staff were understanding and accommodating. We will definitely revisit!
