Whimsical Creekside Cabin

Escape to our cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Fall asleep to sounds of Little Mary’s Creek, enjoy your coffee on the wrap around deck, or delight in exploring your own 7 acres in the forest. Our cabin is a cheerful, clean cottage to come home to- or decide to spend your days on property splashing in the creek and sitting out by the fire pit.

The space
Our cozy cabin is a new build that celebrates our relationships and planting roots in Virginia.

It comfortably sleeps 4 with a queen bed on the main level and 2 single beds in the loft. We are happy to accommodate a 5th guest on a trundle bed in the loft for an additional fee. Please note that the loft is accessed by a mounted ladder with a safety railing, which may not be suitable for all guests.

The eat in kitchen is fully stocked to prepare all of your meals. We provide organic coffee and teas, sugar, creamer, olive oil, salt and pepper. The bathroom features EWG certified clean shampoo conditioner and local artisan soap.

Unplug, explore, read from a carefully curated selection of books, or play a number of favorite games. Turn on the tv upstairs or the portable DVD downstairs to enjoy a variety of movies.

Our cabin is on the side of the mountain with some steep terrain and lots of natural elements outside to discover. The creek is a fun place to splash and explore.

Cell phone service is very limited.

There is no Internet at this time.

Note that in all of the beauty and serenity of nature, there can be dangers. Please be aware of your surroundings- and remember that we share this amazing property with insects, plants, and animals that are native to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Great cozy space. This is a fantastic location if you are looking for a remote spot to be off the grid. The creek is a huge advantage compared to other listings. As long as you are ok with no WiFi and bad cell reception, you will love it.

Whimsical Creekside cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our 2 nights stay.The location is very good. You do not see any other cabin or camp from the cabin and so you have complete privacy. The sound of the water flowing by the side of the cabin is so relaxing. There are a lot of board games available in the cabin. There were enough utensils, linens, towels, etc. Microwave was pretty big and the A/C units worked perfectly. Crabtree falls is about 9 miles from the cabin and is a great hiking trail. Blue Ridge Parkway access point is just about 2-3 miles from the cabin and has a lot of overlooks and trails.Overall we had a nice relaxing stay. Thank you Alicia.

The cabin was adorable and cozy and the area around it was gorgeous. It was too cold for much time around the firepit, but it was relaxing to just read and play board games. We enjoyed hiking at Crabtree Falls. It was a perfect Thanksgiving getaway.

This cabin was great for a place to recharge after hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, sleep and cook some warm meals. It was very cold while we were there, so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities as much as we would've liked to. We had a 2.5yo and a 7mo old with us. The steps to the loft were challenging to navigate as an adult, so we kept the kids downstairs for the most part. The owner did recommend bringing a baby gate, but we didn't have one - so bring one if you are bringing young kids! But there were plenty of books, games and movies for all ages to keep you occupied while you're there!

The property, host, and hour were flawless! Clean, great kitchen amenities and coffee/tea, and so much to do in and outside the house. The creek, little playhouse, and inside toys made it easy with our toddler. We will be back for sure.

Its location was conveniently located between two colleges that our family was visiting and gave us a chance to explore a small part of the Blue Ridge Parkway with its beautiful fall scenery. Our family absolutely adored this little slice of calm. We brought our 1 and 4 year old and truly got to connect as a family in ways we often aren't able to back in the "real world". No wifi puzzles and DVDs of the Disney classics. Our 4yo loved splashing in the creek just outside and both kids loves roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The cabin has just enough to make our stay comfortable without being overwhelming. Only thing I wish we had brought was a tension gate to slow our 1yo from the stairs but that's 100% on us. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this beautiful home with us.

The cabin was absolutely perfect! Just the right size, beautifully and comfortably appointed, and perfectly clean. I appreciated the fact that the kitchen included everything we needed since we did some cooking while we were there. In addition, the cabin was situated in the perfect place: shaded by the trees, next to the creek, and just far enough away from civilization that we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle of life. We will definitely be back!

Cabin was clean and decorated cute. The creek was so peaceful. Alicia was very easy to communicate with. The only thing I would give a heads up for would be that the stairs to the loft were very steep. Wasn’t a problem for me, but for some people it would be.

Beautiful Location!

Everything was just perfect. Alicia provides for every amenity. Even coffee and creamers were provided. The location is beautiful; in a small hollow with a babbling brook you can see close by from the deck.Her recommendations for local attractions, wineries, and restaurants were very helpful.I would highly recommend the creek side cabin to anyone staying in the area.
