Positives - our room was nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast choices were excellent.
Negatives - if you have customer service concerns, document who you talk to! Had an issue, staff LIED to Expedia. My trip was unexpectedly cut short. Upon checking out around 1:00 I asked the lady at the desk if I could get those days refunded. She said management was in a meeting. I gave her the room keys and she took my info and said management would give me a call. Around 7:30 pm I still hadn't heard anything so I texted the customer service number. The agent said she would forward the info to management again. The next evening I still hadn't heard anything so I texted the number again. The agent told me that since I used a third party booking service they wouldn't refund anything.
Since I booked with Expedia I chatted with an agent through the app. That agent said he would contact the hotel on my behalf and see what he could do. When he returned he said that management told him that they wouldn't refund anything because I didn't check out properly and that they had no idea I'd left. What??! I absolutely checked out properly. I told the agent that they lied.
So first the excuse was that I used a third party app, and then the excuse was the lie that I didn't check out properly. Ultimately Expedia said there was nothing they could do and I did not get a refund. What was the point of using Expedia? Never using again.
