We have stayed in many homes through Vrbo, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. The location is perfect if you want to explore the Umbria region. But this house is so great we could stayed and cooked and enjoyed ourselves just as much. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we were able to prepare a nice big dinner for all of us. Gian, the host could not have been more accommodating. He met us in town for the initial drive to the villa, which is tricky, but once you get there you can pin it on Maps. The villa is high, and overlooks the Umbrian countryside. The view is fantastic. The house is very clean and slept seven of us more than comfortably. Gian brought us wood for the fireplace and made sure we were stocked up. He is very easy to reach and responds almost immediately. We honestly hated to leave and we vowed to come back for a month next time. If you’re driving a bigger vehicle, the drive to the villa can be intimidating the first time. But is is very doable. I had a seven passenger van, and we were fine. I cannot say enough about Gian, the host. He is warm and friendly, funny and helpful. He even show us how to find wild asparagus. This is the best home we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be back

Wir haben das Anwesen für eine Woche gebucht und die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Die Villa ist liebevoll eingerichtet und komplett ausgestattet. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer fanden wir sehr gut: auch mit acht Personen hat man Raum für sich gehabt. Der gemeinsam genutzter Bereich lädt mit Kaminfeuer zum entspannen und genießen ein. Einfach nur traumhaft! Die großzügige Außenanlage ist sehr gepflegt und wunderschön. Die Aussicht auf die umliegende Region ist atemberaubend, die Sonnenuntergänge waren malerisch. Wir möchten uns bei Gian für seine Gastgeberfreundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit herzlich bedanken! Vor der Buchung hatten wir einige Fragen und haben sofort Antworten und Unterstützung bekommen. Die Kommunikation ist einwandfrei gelaufen. Während des Aufenthalts war Gian immer für uns da, wenn wir ihn gebraucht haben. Vielen Dank für alles lieber Gian!

We were 7 adults all over 50 years old. There were ample bedrooms and baths. We used the villa primarily as a base to get out and see Umbria, e.g., Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Montefalco, Orvieto. The villa is much too nice just to be used as a base, it has great views on a large, beautiful property with many sitting and lying possibilities. Gian is the best host possible, always ready to assist, advise, recommend, AND available. A great place and a wonderful host.

This was a sibling w/spouses get together. We spent a week at the place. Very comfortable with rooms as promised;3 in the main floor with one upstairs and on separated from the house. Had all that you needed. Had porch off main living area for dining and couches for relaxing. Shoppping in town was 6 minutes away. Host was excellent very welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again. Host provided his contact info and responded quickly to our questions. Rated as 5 star would rate higher if possible both for host and property.

Everything about this villa is exceptional…great location, beautiful views, fantastic host, so much to see & do or just stay at the villa & enjoy the pool. Gian’s recommendations for restaurants, wineries & experiences were all amazing. Todi, Orvieto & Montefalco were highlights for our group. We even loved our almost daily visits to the nearby supermarket :) Gian went above & beyond to make our stay a memorable experience. I would thoroughly recommend his villa ; some of us even hope to return.

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. It was very hot during our stay, but this was no problem because the house and the surroundings was so beautiful. The host was extremely helpful with information and suggestions on what to see and do, during our stay. We have never met such an engaged host. The view from the house and the pool was spectacular, with the real feel of the Italian country side. Even the last part of the road was dirt road, so don't bring your Ferrari :-). We were 9 people, two families and only adults. The house were perfect for that. Very spacious and good rooms for everybody. There are a lot of nice things and gorgeous towns in the area if you don't want to spend all the time in the pool. Thanks a lot Gian from all 9 of us for a fantastic stay.

Detta boende var perfekt för vår sällskap om 10 pers. Huset ligger avskilt med fantastisk utsikt. Sovrummen är rymliga och bra. Tre i huvudbyggnaden, ett i angränsande lilla hus och ett femte ligger på övervåningen i en egen liten lägenhet med separat ingång via en sidotrappa. När man bor tätt tillsammans är det viktigt att det även går att få avskildhet ibland och det erbjuder huset. Köket är stort med en rejäl köksö. Man kan lätt kan vara flera som hjälps åt i matlagningen. Köksutrustningen är inte den allra modernaste men allt man behöver finns. Matplatsen ute ligger direkt utanför köket vilket var perfekt. Nära till kyl för att fylla på med dryck etc. Poolen är stor med en grund och djup del. Två stora parasoll gav bra skugga men det var också skönt att kunna sitta i den lilla gazebon vid sidan av där det uppstod ett korsdrag. Moskiterna på kvällen var till visst besvär. Vi satte ut marschaller med citronellaljus och använde myggspray vilket hjälpte. Vi har inte haft problem med moskiter i Umbrien tidigare somrar så det kanske var extra mycket just under vår vistelse. Det finns en hel del fina utflyktsmål. Till Todi tar det 15-20 min och till Perugia kommer man på 30-40 min. Det ligger en bra Emi supermarket i närmaste lilla stad. Ett stort extra plus ska ges till värden Gian som var mycket uppmärksam och responsiv på våra behov och alltid redo att svara på frågor och hjälpa till. Det underlättade mycket och gjorde vår vistelse än mer avslappnad och trevlig.

Absolutely gorgeous property which had us feeling like we were in a fairytale. I’m surprised the birds and squirrels didn’t come in and help me make my bed each day. The views are stunning and the peaceful surroundings are so relaxing. We had chefs for breakfast and dinner - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Gian is helpful and knowledgeable and really puts effort into making sure the stay and the home are top notch. Thank you, Gian! We are just driving away and I miss it already.

Une localisation parfaite près de Todi et à moins d'une heure de voiture de Pérouse, Assise, Orvieto ou Spoleto, mais aussi de petits bourgs charmants comme Spello, Narni, San Gemini ou Bevagna. Une vue panoramique à couper le souffle sur la campagne ombrienne, comme devant un tableau de la Renaissance, avec ses bourgs médiévaux, ses vignes et ses oliviers. Une maison confortable et spacieuse, avec des lits confortables, un équipement de cuisine complet pour qui aime cuisiner, une terrasse couverte très agréable et une piscine spacieuse, un parc immense, où il fait bon voir le coucher de soleil sur les collines. Un accueil très chaleureux de Gian, le propriétaire, qui est une belle personne et qui a à coeur de faire plaisir, comme il a eu à coeur de faire de sa maison soigneusement rénovée un lieu à l'ambiance unique. Bref, un lieu où il fait bon être, en même temps qu'un lieu de départ idéal pour des visites culturelles, gastronomiques et oenologiques riches. A recommander chaleureusement pour un groupe d'amis.

How can we say enough about this wonderful property and amazing host? For my husband and myself, it was our second stay at Gian's house, and we wanted to share the experience with friends. It did not disappoint! The three couples each had a very private area of the house with one couple in the master suite, one upstairs with their kitchenette, and the other in the pool house. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed making breakfasts and dinners several nights (including some homemade pasta) while enjoying our evenings on the patio and around the pool. Gian is so welcoming to his guests, joining us for the Onion Festival in a nearby town and taking us to a favorite restaurant at the top of the mountain. He also helped us book a wine tour and private chef at the house. Don't miss out on this fantastic way to experience Umbria and all of the beauty and history of the area!

A really lovely villa that was well equipped in a beautiful location with unspoilt views. The air con was a lovely edition during the hot nights. Great area for exploring the rest of Umbria..Todi, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, all worth a visit. Would definitely recommend.

Die sehr schöne Villa liegt auf einer Anhöhe in ruhiger Alleinlage. Wir waren mit 2 Familien (jeweils 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) in der Villa untergebracht. Die Villa war dafür perfekt aufgeteilt, so dass jeder seinen Rückzugsbereich hatte. Der Garten ist groß und gepflegt und bietet einen herrlichen Rundumblick auf die Landschaft Umbriens und auf das schöne mittelalterliche Städtchen Todi. Der Pool ist traumhaft und perfekt zum Schwimmen geeignet. Ausflugsziele im Umkreis sind gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir haben z. B. von Orte aus einen Tagesausflug mit dem Zug nach Rom unternommen. Gian war ein toller Gastgeber, der jederzeit erreichbar war und uns mit wertvollen Tipps versorgt hat. Vielen Dank nochmal an Gian. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Aufenthalt dort.

Die Villa war für unsere Gruppe von 8 Personen perfekt ausgestattet. Die Lage war spektakulär - es gab einen Rundumblick auf die gesamte Umgebung mit Blick auf das mittelalterliche Todi. Der Pool war sehr schön gepflegt und großzügig geschnitten. Gian, der Gastgeber, war sehr aufmerksam, war immer ansprechbar und hat uns viele gute Tipps zu Restaurants und Touren in der Umgebung gegeben. Wir können die Villa jedem empfehlen, der ein großes Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage sucht - wir kommen sicherlich wieder.

La proprietà rispetta le foto che sono pubblicate. tutto mantenuto con la dovuta cura e privo di segni di usura. Ritengo che il proprietario cambi di frequente eventuali accessori guasti/usurati. Splendida cucina attrezzata dove poter preparare qualsiasi pietanza. Barbecue molto grande per le grigliate. Piscina abbondante e pulita. Ottima location. Il proprietario è presente all'occorrenza e pronto a venire incontro ad eventuali necessità.

Nous avons passé une fabuleuse semaine de vacances dans cette superbe villa typique de l'Ombrie. Cette villa, au sommet d'une colline (aucun vis-à-vis), offre une vue à couper le souffle à 360 degrés sur toute la région de Todi. Elle est parfaitement équipée, vraiment spacieuse et permet un séjour très reposant pour une grande famille ou un groupe d'amis. En effet, elle est suffisamment vaste pour que chacun trouve son espace, tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. Nous avons vraiment adoré profiter du coucher de soleil près de la grande piscine tous les soirs : c'est un moment vraiment fabuleux ! La vue sur tous les petits villages ou villes environnantes (y compris Todi) fait vraiment partie des atouts de cette maison. Par ailleurs, la localisation est vraiment idéale pour visiter l'Ombrie et ses principaux sites d'attraction (Orvieto, Pérouse, Assise, Montefalco, ....). A noter que la ville de Todi nous a beaucoup plu (très belle ville ancienne) et comporte toutes les commodités nécessaires pour les vacances (supermarché, commerces, restaurants,...). Enfin, louer cette maison, c'est aussi faire la connaissance du propriétaire Gian qui a à cœur de faire découvrir sa région en toute simplicité et authenticité. Il est force de proposition pour organiser/proposer des activités ou pour donner les lieux et adresses à découvrir si on cherche l'authenticité. La relation avec lui a été, bien sûr, très fluide depuis la réservation jusqu'à notre départ. Merci pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa convivialité ! En conclusion, je recommande vivement cette villa pour des vacances en Ombrie.

Die Villa liegt auf einem Hügel mit Blick auf Todi und die übrige Ebene. Allein der Blick am Abend auf den Sonnenuntergang wäre eine Reise wert. Über die Aufteilung der Villa geben die anderen Bewertungen einen klaren Überblick - man kann gut mit bis zu drei Parteien hier leben. Herauszuheben ist Gian als Gastgeber. Er ist schlicht an den Leuten interessiert und teilt wertvolle Tipps über Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etc., ohne dabei auch nur ansatzweise aufdringlich zu sein. Besonders empfehlen kann ich den von ihm vermittelten Koch Daniele - ein wirklich tolles Ereignis. Insgesamt war dieser Urlaub eine tolle Erfahrung für uns.

The villa is great! There is enough space for everyone, the rooms and beds are large and clean, each room has a bathroom! Fully functional kitchen with everything you need and a fantastic garden with large pool! The highlight is Gian the host who goes above and beyond to make your stay extremely comfortable and pleasant. He has some awesome recommendations for trips, restaurants, things to do etc and is constantly busy making bookings and making sure everything is taken care of. One thing I highly recommend is to get a chef to cook for you. The local food is fantastic and seeing (and learning if you like from) a professional chef is absolutely worth it. If you're looking to go to Umbria and this villa is available don't wait any longer and make the booking now, you will not regret it!

Vi bodde en julivecka i huset, totalt 7 personer varav 3 barn. Stor fin pool med solsängar, 1 parasoll och en pergola som gav välbehövlig skugga. Vackert lantligt läge på höjden med underbar utsikt och fin solnedgång. Stort traditionellt italienskt hus med rymligt kök och sovrum med tillhörande badrum. Värden Gian gav oss många bra restaurang- och utflyktstips och var tillgänglig för alla slags frågor. Det är ca 10 min med bil till en bra Supermarket.

This is a wonderful property- very spacious and beautiful. But perhaps the highlight was the special experiences suggested and arranged by Gian. He arranged a wonderful winetasting and tour, suggested great restaurants and was very available for every need. The chef he arranged (Daniele) was amazing, and I cannot even describe the experiential meal we had "on top of the Mountain" - Cheese, meats, Bruschetta, the Best homemade bread, 2 pastas, Lamb, Potatoes, vegetables, lots of wine, limoncello and grappa...all for 35 Euros a person! Trust Gian's every suggestion!

Gians Villa liegt auf einer Anhöhe gegenüber der Stadt Todi. Zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Umland. Alle umbrischen Highlights wie Orvieto, Todi, Assisi, Perugia und Spoleto (um nur einige zu nennen) sind sehr gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Rom erreicht man bequem mit dem Zug aus Orte. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und aufgrund seiner Aufteilung auch für kleinere Gruppen geeignet. Insgesamt ergeben sich drei "Untereinheiten", in deren Zentrum die gut ausgestattete Küche und das Wohnzimmer liegen. Die vierte Einheit ist eine eigene Wohnung im 2. OG, die Gian allerdings nicht separat vermietet. Jede Gruppe hat das Haus ganz für sich alleine, darauf legt Gian wert. Überhaupt ist Gian ein ganz außergewöhnlicher Gastgeber. Er ist sehr bemüht, dass seine Gäste den Aufenthalt sehr genießen. So vermittelte er an einem Abend einen privaten Koch, der mit uns ein lokales Menü zubereitete. Ferner organisierte er eine kleine Wanderung mit anschließendem Imbiss sowie die Besichtigung einer Ölmühle. Bei Fragen und Problemen war er immer ansprechbar. Insgesamt lässt Gians Villa keine Wünsche offen und ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

We just completed the most idyllic stay at this spectacular property near Todi. The views are stunning in every direction. The house itself is so comfortable for families, friends, or couples. The bedrooms are spacious and separated, allowing privacy for all guests, but there are lots of gathering spots inside and outside to hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped and more, lending itself to creating wonderful group meals. One night we had Daniele, a private chef, come and cook a marvelous meal, teaching us along the way. Even in October, we were able to take divine swims in the large and perfectly situated pool! Best of all, as others have said, is the owner himself…Gian Cappelli. He made our trip very special from beginning to end, providing easy and quick communication during the booking process, and wonderful suggestions for meals and activities. He even accompanied us on a wild ride to a mountaintop restaurant that served excellent local cuisine in a warm and wonderful environment. We had a terrific week and highly recommend this property. If you have the opportunity, just do it!

Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux de Gian qui s'est montré très disponible tout au long de notre séjour pour nous donner des conseils de visites ou de restaurants notamment. La maison est grande et bien aménagée, très bien située avec une splendide vue à 360 ° sur la campagne ombrienne. On est proche de Pérouse, Orvietto, et pas très loin non plus d'Assise, Spoleto... Bref de quoi faire à moins d'une heure de route! Si la maison est sur les hauteurs, elle est néanmoins à proximité de Todi où l'on trouve de bons restaurants avec vue panoramique, et aussi tous les commerces utiles. Donc une très belle adresse, pour un séjour en famille ou avec des amis!

Gian's villa was the perfect place for our family's stay in Todi / Umbria. The house and especially the surroundings were for us the ultimate set-up for a unique stay. The warm and quiet evenings, where there were only the sounds of nature, a unique 360 degree view, was something completely unusual. Moments we will not forget. At the same time, we got to know Gian as a completely unique and unusually hospitable person. To meet a "host" who i.a. spent a whole day hiking with us in the Monte Sibillini Natural Park. We have not experienced that before :-) Thanks a lot Gian - we are very grateful for that and we will definitely visit your villa another time. Best, Tina, Jan and Family

We had a lovely stay. The landhouse is located on a tiny unpaved road, which adds to the experience, and on a small hilltop. The views on the beautiful Umbrian landscape are almost 360 degrees. It is very quiet in the positive sense. The sky is dark at night, I could see the milkyway. The garden is huge, as is the pool. We particularly loved the surrounding vineyards and sunflower fields. Shops are at about 10 minutes driving distance. Gian is the most caring owner. Nothing is too much for him: arranging a cook, candlelight dinner, a baby sitter. He even went to the airport for us to ask about a rental car. Thanks a lot for the great stay!
