The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dooley's Hellhole! We booked this hotel in January. Based on the obviously very out-of-date photos we saw on Expedia & the price of well over $220 per night, we thought it would be very nice. We couldn't have been more wrong! We didn't know this until we tried to get to our room, but this place is designed like a Rube Goldberg nightmare! Here, upon reaching the supposed first floor, you are confronted with staircases that go up for no reason, then down, then up again, ad infinitum! The signs that are meant to direct you to your room are confusing & deceitful because when you trust them, you end up confronted with more sets of stairs! I'm nearly 70, & my bride isn't that far behind me, so lugging our wheeled suitcases up & down these steps was beyond irritating. When we finally found our room, the window was closed, so with the current heatwave, the room was HOT! (There's no AC in Ireland!) When we went to open the window, we saw our "view," which was the rooftop of the restaurant, with its large smokestack emitting kitchen smoke and odors directly into our room! The roaring sound continued until 10:30 PM, then started again around 5 AM. The manager refused to honor their contract to offer us the room we expected & admitted we got that room because we were the last to check in! In other words, the people who booked the 8 rooms that were still available that morning (at huge last-minute discounts!) took precedence over people who paid full price months in aadvance!

Hôtel bien, mais trop loin du centre de Kilkenny pour y aller à pieds. Proche d’une route assez passante donc bruyant. Et aucun système de climatisation, pas de ventilation et une seule fenêtre pour de la fraîcheur.
