"Great place to stay for a gig at the Cheese and Grain. Central location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Evening dinner menu was varied and bar had a nice atmosphere. Good breakfast and overall good value. Room had lots of character. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but was functional for a short stay."

"There were only a few people staying so our room was upgraded which was nice. Staff friendly. Parking good. Bar seemed well stocked. The meal was good. We had roast dinners and couldn’t eat it all. "Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend."

"I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived at this hotel. Iit overlooked the river Avon, and we could see a little waterfall from our window. The mill wheels was working just outside the dining room window. It would be lovely in the summer. The only downside was the choice for breakfast. However you get what you pay for and as a really cheap hotel it exceeded expectations and when next i go to Bath i will stay there. As a bonus it also has a toll road running into Bath which cost £1.20p cash...

"Great Location, Very clean and well maintained. Staff was great. We enjoyed a complimentary wine and cheese buffet, which was very nice. The rooms are purposefully very small but extremely well thought out and well appointed. "

"We had travelled about 190 miles for a wedding, arriving about 12:30 and looking for suitable facilities to change in, only to be offered the use of the disabled toilet. Far from ideal, but we managed. The room like the hotel looked dated, with only 1 packet of biscuits for the 2 of us, only bathroom amenities was a small round of hand soap, a pump dispenser of soap and shampoo over the bath, and the shower wasn't up to much either. The location and views were really nice. "

"This is the second time we have stayed at this property and already booked to come back again. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Free parking is also a bonus. Just a few minutes away from the showground where they hold antique fairs. Jeff is an excellent host and cooks amazing meals. Looking forward to going back again soon. "
