The ideal place to gather with old friends who live in the area. The house was comfortable, attractive and perfect for relaxing on the porch and entertaining at night. Adam was an excellent host and quick to respond to any questions I had prior to our arrival. We will definitely be back!

The Farmhouse on the River was one of the best rental properties we've stayed at. Private. Comfortable. Excellent communication. Peaceful. Relaxing. The river is beautiful. The yard is expansive and a great place for playing with our dog. The house is clean and welcoming. The location cannot be beat! It is quiet and private, yet stores, restaurants, hiking, fishing, and more are so close. We will absolutely return!

Weekend away from home

My family's stay at the farmhouse on the river was absolutely wonderful. Adam is an exceptional host, with quick and thorough responses to questions. The house was very clean and comfortable, and 2 days there rejuvenated my family and I before heading home. It was only a 25 minute trip to JMU, which was the reason for the visit. Quiet, beautiful, perfect weekend!

Bachelorette Weekend in the shenandoah Valley!

The house was clean and beautiful! The property was perfect! The river views were spectacular! We loved everything about this vacation house. I walked away wishing i was staying for more than just thenight. Definitely plan to book again!!!

Country paradise

We stopped here to break up a long road trip and we couldn’t be happier! We loved the quiet country setting, especially with the distant view of the horses in the fields across the street. The yard is massive and we loved walking around with our pup near the river. The neighbors do have 2 dogs but they seemed friendly and well behaved. There is so much room in the yard to make it feel completely private. Inside the home was a cozy historic charm with modern luxuries. The kitchen was fully stocked, including complimentary coffee and a stocked walk-in pantry. We didn’t cook but if we did there wasn’t anything that we would’ve needed except for food. Upstairs were 2 bedrooms with a bathroom joining between to allow privacy. One bedroom with a queen and a separate bunk. My daughter loved having that room to herself with the large TV. The master was stunning, with its own in room bathroom and claw foot tub with a breathtaking view. We definitely will return to take full advantage of that gorgeous tub. Everything was perfection. The only downside was not staying longer, which we will definitely do in the future. Adam was a wonderful host and easily reachable if needed.

Farm house

I had an amazing stay here! The place was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made it so comfortable and relaxing. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and you could tell a lot of care went into making it a great experience. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a wonderful, hassle-free experience. I can’t wait to come back! The owners were super thoughtful too!

Such a cute home

I hosted a slumber party for my birthday this year and this home was so perfect! It was cozy and comfy but also so beautiful. We loved the remodeling that was done and everyone mentioned how they wished they lived here. Would definitely recommend this house
