The kitchen is fully stocked with necessary items. It can sleep up to 2 people comfortably (1 queen bed). Perfect for a couple (or small family) visiting family in the Tri-State area. Everything you need for a nice quiet get a way. Enjoyed the deck along the Ohio river. We saw barges, tug boats, ducks and geese. The bed was VERY comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. Make sure you stop at the Yorkville bakery for some sweet treats.

Cozy perfection! Unbelievable views of the Ohio River, with lots of great towboat and barge action. Pike Island lock is viewable. Such a quiet place, big enough for the 2 of us. Loved the swivel recliners, we found ourselves turned around and watching the river, even though there is a huge TV in the living room and the bedroom. Bed was comfy, kitchen and bathroom has everything we needed. I SO want to come back and stay again! Thank you!!

The cottage was cozy & clean with a gorgeous view of the river and hills beyond. It is tucked behind the house in front with a narrow drive but definitely plenty of parking (I drive an explorer and there were two other vehicles parked there and I could still maneuver around) Do not assume you can fish off the deck like we did however there was a nice spot right up the road which the very nice neighbors informed us about. Kitchen was stocked well for cooking meals. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

It was a great place to just relax and watch the water. Everything you needed for a quiet place to unwind. Extra toothbrushes were provided if you needed them with other bathroom products, plenty of towels for two, lots of cooking options. (Also, it is not the house with the carport, it is further back from the road than I realized and tried to get into another BnB/Vrbo before I realized I was at the wrong one)

A wonderful relaxing little place by the Ohio River. Extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Beautifully decorated. The back deck was perfect to watch the world go by! Would definitely stay again.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our weekend at the cottage! The deck out back is right in the water and very peaceful. Inside is set up with all you need and comfortable. Also recommend checking out Hightower brewing!

Cute cottage by the river

The house itself was good, even though it is very small. Kitchen had everything we needed. Was nice to sit on the back deck and enjoy the water. Location isn't great, but we spent most of our time across the river in Wheeling.

If you are looking for party central this not the place. If you want peace in a warm, cozy environment, this is the place! This was our 3rd year back and it is the perfect reset from the stress of everyday life. Sit inside or outside on the expansive deck and wstch the barges go by. We will return!

Relaxing Time at the Cottage

Enjoyed the quaint little cottage on the River. Close to Wheeling and local winery which we enjoy. Clean and welcoming atmosphere in the cottage and the host was friendly and we had good communication. Pizza Express is just down the road for takeout and we liked their fresh homemade dough.Overall a nice experience at this location.

Relaxing Get Away

We had a very nice time staying at the cottage. Everything was clean and very well prepared for us. Highlights included the magnificent view of the beautiful Ohio river where we saw a few winter birds and large barge and wonderful deck outside.It was VERY quiet and peaceful during our stay, which is exactly what we wanted. There were toiletries available if you forgot something (we forgot toothpaste) and a coffee maker with coffee provided. The space was large enough for 2 adults to feel comfortable and not cramped. The only micro space is the shower stall, which is basically the size of, well, you lol. Don't drop the soap, it will take an act of God to pick it back up in there (wink). On the upside, the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water.This cottage is a real gem and we are very pleased with our stay there. The rental rate is very affordable and it was obvious that the owners take good care of the house and want their guests to enjoy themselves.
