Waterfront Cabin in the center of Thompson Falls!!

  • Relax and enjoy the view from this beautiful custom built river side cabin in Thompson Falls, Montana! This cabin sits on a quiet street in downtown Thompson Falls and is conveniently located close to restaurants, entertainment, the library, coffee shops and more. The deck offers gorgeous views of the reservoir and mountains. The wildlife is abundant! There are deer, eagles (Golden and Bald Eagles), osprey, heron, otters, beavers and more!

    You can fish in the water right in front of the cabin. If you are hoping to canoe or kayak, you may put your watercraft in about two blocks east of the cabin. There is a proper boat dock about one mile east of the cabin if you have motor craft. There are many walking and biking trails just a few blocks away that can take you to the bottom of the dam and all the way to the State park.

    The cabin has a unique layout. The main floor has a dining table, TV, and kitchenette, which consists of a refrigerator/freezer, air fryer/convection oven, electric griddle, microwave, dishwasher, sink, coffee machine and a hot plate. There is no conventional stovetop/oven. The main floor also hosts the bathroom, which has a shower, but no bathtub. For sleeping arrangements, the main floor has a couch that folds out into a very comfortable queen-sized bed. There is a ladder that goes from the main floor to the open loft, which has a full-sized sleeping pad on the floor. This is a great place for older kids to sleep, but a lot a adults have enjoyed it as well! The main bedroom is located downstairs. This room is accessed by exiting the main floor of the cabin and walking down an exterior staircase. The bedroom is very cozy with a TV and an extremely comfortable queen-sized bed.

    Because of the proximity to the water and the open loft configuration of the cabin, we do not encourage families with small children to book this cabin. However we have had many happy families with small kids stay here and had wonderful stays. We just want to be very up front about the open loft and unobstructed access to the water. Please feel free to reach out for further clarification about children, pets, and/or the sleeping arrangements. We want your stay to be enjoyable and stress free!

    The neighborhood is very safe. The cabin is directly across from the city hall and one block from the Sheriff's department.

A Great Stay in Thompson Falls

We loved staying in this property. The view overlooking the water with the mountains in the background was impressive. The unit is well appointed, and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed this stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely Stay!

We loved our stay at the waterfront cabin! The hosts were very accommodating and great communicators. Their cabin is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need—very thoughtful and intentional. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back!

Cabin by the Lake

Gorgeous, quiet cabin by the lake. Enjoyed the property immensely. It's helpful to know that the bedroom is accessed through outside stairs. Otherwise, I loved my stay.

Cute and Convenient!

My small family stayed in Thompson falls to visit our son who is in school there. The cabin is so cozy!! The pull out couch bed is so comfortable. The views are breathtaking and you are only a short walk from town. It was clean and beautifully constructed. Will consider staying here again!

Serene, Peaceful, water view

All was excellent and cozy. I'm a Senior but was fine choosing the loft-just concentrate on the way down. The bedroom downstairs was amazing with a window looking right out at the reservoir. Walking up to the main floor bathroom was not a big deal at all but may be to others. Stellarly clean ! Perfect for two people. Lovely little place.

Peaceful, Clean, and Cozy

Everything we needed was right there. Things were thoughtfully provided. The cabin was very tastefully decorated and the quality of the dishes and towels and bedding was very nice. The view is so pretty and calming. Very nice to be right on the water and have the small town with some nice shops and a wonderful restaurant or two very close. Great stay! Thank you!

May 30, 2025 stay

Beautiful setting. Enjoyed watching the ducks and geese in this serene setting. Our only concern was the separate entrance for the bedroom downstairs.. We are senior citizens and having to go outside and take stairs to the bathroom upstairs (middle of the night) was not ideal. You may need more railings for that area. Well stocked and clean.

Quality, tiny cabin on the water!

This is a quality, slightly quirky rental.Construction of this tiny cabin is superior craftsmanship! Furnishings are superb! Quirky part is the main bedroom is accessed by going outside, down stairs exposed to the elements. From the main bedroom one has to climb the stairs, back into the main part of the cabin.The only TV is in the main bedroom and the wifi connection was not stable / strong enough to watch a movie without buffering.That said, this is a great tiny home/cabin rental.

Great host and property

Only one problem. Master bedroom does not have a toilet or bathroom. Need to go upstairs for toilet or bathroom and the journey is heavy with mosquitoes. I suggest a large mosquito zapping lamp or 2 rather than the current lighting that is a bug magnet. Host was amazing, responsive and considerate. Responded quickly to concerns and supplied all basic necessities. Thank you for a most wonderful stay at a wonderful property. We loved barbecuing on the balcony and relaxing in front of a wonderful view

A-MAZING

We went for a girls weekend and the stay was amazing! The neighborhood was quiet! The view of the water was so beautiful. About 6 min away is spot you can get in the water with a boat or paddle boards. The home was very clean and all of the amenities you need are furnished. The walk to town is a block away. If you need groceries, you will have to drive about 10 miles away but not a bad commute. Since it is close to the water, a citronella candle for the front deck will be needed. There is also a grill on the deck! The curtains in the bathroom are pull together and I put a towel up for a little extra privacy. Other than that, this is an amazing place to stay!! We are definitely going to try to make it a yearly trip!
