"The resort is excellent with great amenities. However I had a bad experience during check-in. I had booked a 3BR condo for 3 nights in May, all the way back in Jan 2025. Upon checking in, I was told that the 3BR condo is not available and I had to wait 15-20 mins and was provided a 2BR condo. I was also told that I would receive a refund for the differential amount. However after checkout I didn’t receive any refund after multiple follow ups. Thus folks beware about what you are booking and what...

"We stayed for 3 nights. It is very clean and convenient to the beaches and restaurants. There is parking on the side so you don’t have to deal with on the street parking. It would have been good if rooms came equipped with safes. Also breakfast was very basic and the same every morning: coffee and bagels, cereal (Cheerios or fruit loops) maybe include some bananas, apples and yogurts in the future. People at the front desk were very nice. We will definitely stay again. "

"First time staying at The Attwater and it won't be our last! Such a cute boutique hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Newport but conveniently located so it's walkable to downtown! The manager, Peter, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed for our weekend stay. And the included breakfast had amazing homemade offerings. Another bonus of The Attwater was free parking. Highly recommend!"
