Great location. Nice experience staying in an historic home furnished with antiques. Amazing breakfast made to order. The owners and staff were friendly and informative. Nice touch having a decanter of brandy available in the living room. Definitely recommend staying here !

AMAZING LOCATION....BEAUTIFUL HOME

LOVED OUR STAY AT THIS CHARMING BED AND BREAKFAST....EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL....LOVED THE BRANDY AVAILABLE TO ENJOY ON THE AMAZING FRONT PORCH....SERVICE AT BREAKFAST COULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDLIER BUT SHE WAS VERY YOUNG AND FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!

The house is beautiful with a lot of history. Our room was upgraded so that was great! The location is good as well....it is a quiet area but within walking distance to food and shopping. The breakfast is AMAZING!

Great getaway B&B

Excellent! Lovely B&B. Great location in Newport. Free parking available. Great breakfast spread. Have stayed there twice so far, will stay there on next Newport visit.

A unique and very special property with wonderful hosts, we had a fantastic stay. Our bedroom was in the historic tower and, while full of beautiful antiques and memorabilia, was exceptionally comfortable, especially the bed. And the breakfast was generous and delicious - the table was laden with a huge variety of homemade dishes. Choose this beautiful guest house for a memorable stay in historic Newport.

This was our first time staying at this property. What a beautiful house and yard, & the owners were friendly, kind, and gracious with regards to a personal difficulty we encountered during our stay. Definitely would stay again!

You must stay here! The breakfast was delicious, the room exceeded my expectations for a vintage inspired B&B, and the gardens were stunning. So close to the water, shops and restaurants. And the owners were attentive and informative. Parking is free but you have to find your own street parking and you get a pass to put in your windshield for overnight.

The Wonderful Sarah Kendall House

The Sarah Kendall House was a delightful part of our short stay in Newport. The entire house is gorgeous, and our room was amazing from the size, beauty and comfort of the bedroom and bathroom to the window view of the harbor. Breakfast was a feast of delicious foods. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer. Thanks to all at the Sarah Kendall House who made our one night in Newport absolutely perfect!

The Sarah Kendall House is a beautiful historic home in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a view of the harbor while watching the sunset. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The owner and his son were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding! Made to order eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage. Plus, a table with bagels, muffins, fruit and juices. We highly recommend the Sarah Kendall House!

There wasn't anything we didn't like. An 1870's house upgraded bathroom, 12-14 ft ceilings, gas fireplaces in every room, a carafe of Courvoisier for a night's recap before the gas fireplace, the 4 poster bed , antiques all over, a great history to the house ands the local area. Warm, toast and inviting in January with 24 degree weather and a facinating owner of many decades.MAgnificent breakfast, fit for a king.

This is a a true gem. We were greeted by the owner, who gave us a brief history and tour of the inn. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb - eggs and bacon cooked to order, and a wonderful spread of fruits, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. The inn is located within walking distance of the transit center and waterfront, so there was no need to drive our car anywhere. It was a very warm and inviting experience, and we will definitely be back.
