"The hotel is very convenient for the local facilities. The staff were great and the room was very nice apart from the very squeaky door and the lift wasn’t working which caused an issue carrying cases up a steep staircase."

"Our stay was wonderful, probably the best B&B my wife have stayed in. It was comfortable, beautifully designed and spacious. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. The views were stupendous, of course the almost tropical weather helped. Breakfast was just what we expected from a Yorkshire B&B. We cannot speak too highly of Throstle Nest Farm. "Pub and Barn were lovely. We had a barn room and it was small but beautifully appointed. The coffee machine was a real bonus as was the homemade shortbread. The velux window was a bit of a challenge to open and close. Breakfast was very nice with really friendly helpful staff, checkout was also friendly and straightforward. This was in contrast to check in, (e.g. we were told they didn't want us mithering the cleaning staff, as if we would) lunch and evening meal. The food was nice enough but...

"Stunning views to Pendle Hill from our room, friendly staff and an excellent dinner and breakfast. This was a much-needed short getaway and, with a great day’s walking today during which we hardly saw soul, was everything we’d hoped for. We will return. "

"The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. "Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."
