This house is a part of Terlingua history. There have been recent major upgrades throughout the structure, however the majority of the construction on this home took place in the 1970's. We hope you enjoy the vintage decor and the historic charm this home has to offer.
We have other lodging within walking distance, send us a message to inquire about group booking options!

You will have access to the entire home. Please do not use the outhouse or shed areas. The home has an indoor flushing toilet.

We would like to respect your privacy while you are our guest. Should you need anything at all, our preferred contact method is airbnb messenger, but if you need more immediate assistance you can call us at the number listed in the welcome message.

The Cottonwood grocery store is just across the road and offers just about anything you may need. The only gas station in town is just one mile North on 118 from us. You may enjoy dining out at one of our great restaurants or bars located just a few miles west into the ghost town. Interested in going on a guided horseback ride with a cowboy/girl? Big Bend Stable is a mile north of us on highway 118.

When it comes to modern convenience and amenities, this house has it all!
The local grocery store is located just steps away. This home is fully on the electric and utility grid, boasting many features not available elsewhere in Terlingua, including a 50'' HDTV.
There is a charcoal grill, and there is a fire pit, however you will have to purchase charcoal and firewood at the grocery store across the street.
The house has a 12 cup drip coffee machine and coffee is provided.
Limited personal hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash) are provided.
Please take a moment to ensure your guest count is accurate at the time of booking.

Check out requirements:
Message us when you are departing. Pile all used sheets, towels and cloth kitchen towels on the kitchen table. Bag up and take your garbage and recycling to the dumpster up front. Make sure dishes are clean and put away, lights and AC are off. Feel free to leave behind any unsoiled food items.

Small fires only. Fires must be contained to fire pit.

NO CONFETTI ALLOWED ON PROPERTY. There will be a $100 charge for us to clean up confetti.

Strict PET POLICY:
Pets are welcome but they must be included on your reservation at the time of booking. If you are booking for two people and one pet, please ensure that the pet is shown when you reach the confirm and pay screen. We ask that you and your pet adhere to the following rules.
Dogs are not allowed on the bedding or furniture. Pets are not to be left unattended in the room unless crated. You will be billed for any damages caused by pets in your reservation.

Smoking outside only.

No extra guests are allowed on property beyond the total number of guests that are booked on the reservation without prior permission. Anyone who will be on the property must be added to the guest count and included in the reservation.
We do have an option to add an extra guest fee for guests counts past 7, this covers water usage, trash, laundry, wear and tear as well as housekeeping.

Please be advised that use of any outdoor cooking equipment in or near any building structures (to include balconies, awnings, porches, etc.) is strictly prohibited as it presents a fire hazard. Any use of outdoor cooking equipment must take place on flat ground and a minimum of 20 ft away from any building structures on the property. Upon completion of cooking on any outdoor cooking equipment, guests must immediately and thoroughly extinguish the heat source. Guests must use caution while walking on the property, especially at night when it can be very dark. Guests need to be alert while outside to avoid tripping on rocks, or contacting local vegetation (cacti, etc.) and animals (snakes, etc.). Guests, their children, and pets are strictly prohibited from entering within 15 feet of the edge of any cliff, arroyo, crevasse, overhang or similar elevated drop off. Guests assume risk/responsibility for exploring the property.
Late checkouts without prior approval will be charged for an extra nights stay if it impacts our housekeepers ability to get in and clean on time.

This was the perfect place to stay for sight seeing at Big Bend and the Western area. It had a really relaxing vibe and was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We were a group of four photographers and the Casita Blanca was perfect for us. It is very roomy and very well furnished - the kitchen has everything that you could need. The large table gave us room to spread out our computers and the living room was a nice place to relax. The casita was exceptionally clean and had a great supply of towels and tp - a bonus for four females! The location was great for our photography - we could go into the park early in the mornings and at night with only a short drive to our destinations. We definitely would return.

The place was perfectly located, walking distance to a grocery store and a short ride to several different outfitters, and the ghost town restaurants. Close to the entrance to the parks, both the national and state parks. The place itself was just right for 4 guys. Nice beds, good shower, fire pit outside. Couldn’t ask for more!

We had a fantastic stay at Casita Blanca! The property was immaculate, well-equipped, and perfectly located. The spacious living area and comfortable bedrooms made us feel right at home. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We enjoyed the nearby attractions and peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
