The River Trail Retreat: Waterfalls and Festivals

The River Trail Retreat lives where downtown gives way to wetlands and unobstructed views of town park, Bear Creek preserve & cascading waterfalls! This 1-bdrm condo was JUST remodeled (June, 2022) and is top to bottom awesome! New appliances and finishings throughout including a W/D and 85" TV. Take in the morning sun as it crests over Ajax peak and watch the box canyon come to life! With nature as your neighbor but downtown 1 block away, the RTR offers Telluride in harmony!



This bright condo is a true mountain getaway and located in the heart of Telluride. Hear the music from the town park stage during festival weekends and the silence offered during all others! We provide our guests covered off-street parking and the convenience of walking to all that Telluride has to offer. The River Trail Retreat has a full kitchen, bath, dining and lounging areas. There is an incredible hot tub enjoyed by guests of the complex that sits near the banks of the San Miguel River! Walk out your door and onto the River Trail that connects to Bear Creek preserve and beyond. Take in the daily alpen-glow show from your balcony and immerse yourself in the best of Telluride's mountain magic!

Guests have full and private access to the entire 1-bedroom condo and there is an shared hot tub on property for guest use as well.



With Telluride's historic main street just a block away, our guests will enjoy instant access to a legendary culinary scene, boutique shopping, hiking trails, chairlifts and the free gondola. No car needed to enjoy endless adventures here in the San Juan Mountains! The free galloping goose bus stops right our front of the building and can take riders anywhere in town.



The free gondola to the Mountain Village is 3 blocks away and takes riders up to the breathtaking San Sophia Station and beyond.

Beautiful condo and the perfect place to listen to music from the festival. Very clean and comfortable, with a great deck to sit and listen to the music and enjoy the AMAZING view. Within walking distance of a small grocery store, several restaurants, and the park. I would love to do this again next year!

This stay was unique and more hospitable than most stays with VRBO. They go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. The facility was very clean and provided a great atmosphere for a much-needed family getaway. The kitchen provided a great experience in itself, so we could cook our meals and make vacation for a family more affordable. Thank you for the great stay.

Absolutely amazing experience! My Family of 4 visited Telluride for spring break 2025 finishing our ski season. The River Trail Retreat was phenomenal from the beginning. Great communication , clear directions and helpful tips. The place we rented was wonderful, very clean, well equipped, nice modern look and absolutely stunning views. Short walk to restaurant and grocery store, short walk to gondola. We felt in love with thus place and we will be back again soon.

Great location and stay

The property was as listed, and a very nice cozy place to stay for 5 days. We could walk to pretty much everything, including skiing and the gondola. The hot tub was great to use right behind the unit, and we really enjoyed all of the amenities. Thanks!

This is a beautiful property with great views. It was very cozy, comfortable and close to Old Town Telluride. Dealing with Luke was easy and he provided all the info we needed and answered all our questions quickly. Very easy to book. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Best location in Telluride

We enjoyed our stay so much. The condo is directly next to the park where the fireworks show took place. The balcony allowed us to perfectly watch the fireworks without being in the crowd. The bed is comfortable, and the kitchen has all of the needed cooking utensils. Although there is no air conditioning, we used the box fan with the windows and balcony door open, which cooled the condo well. It’s nice that there is a parking spot if your vehicle is not oversized, but that’s to be expected in Telluride.

Dreamy Location

We loved staying here and would definitely stay here next time in town. The location is perfect for walking quite literally anywhere. The views are spectacular. We were here for 5 nights and used the grill on the deck 2 of the nights (did I mention the views?). Very clean. Many thoughtful touches. Just book it.

Great Telluride Spot

The location was excellent! Six minute walk to the gondola to get to the slopes. Walking distance to everything downtown. The condo was clean and very well stocked with everything that you would need. The bed was comfortable which is a hard find when you’re usually renting a place. The best part was the heated bathroom floor. I will definitely plan on staying here again.

New Years stay

Beautiful condo on the 2nd floor with gorgeous view out the back patio. Newly renovated and very comfortable. Luke was very quick to respond to our questions. I would absolutely stay here again with my husband and son. The pull out couch mattress was comfortable for my 11 year old and the queen bed was super comfy.

Amazing Anniversary Getaway!

My husband and I took at quick trip to Telluride to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The River Trail Retreat was absolutely perfect! This property is in the perfect location. We walked to amazing hikes and to shopping and restaurants. We also just wanted to sit on the back porch and take in the view!! It was stunning! Thank you for sharing your place with us! I highly recommend!
