BIG FISH BACH close to beaches and excellent fishing

Situated in a quiet cul de sac in beautiful Te Kaha. This very tidy great sized two bedroom Bach is delightful for families wanting a kiwi style holiday without costing the earth.
North facing, very warm and cosy. Open plan with bed settees in lounge for more guests. Plenty of parking on property or for camping etc. There is an outside bathroom toilet, with bait freezer and fish filleting bench.
A great spot to un wind having a wine on the deck in the fabulous east coast sun.
Te kaha has two dairies, one pub and no gas station. It is advisable to fill up with gas and also grab most of your groceries at the New World in Opotiki, which is an hour west of Te Kaha.
$200 property bond is payable in addition to rental costs, this will be refunded at the end of your stay subject to deduction for any damage done to the property during your stay. Please no parties at address.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: clean the house and do the dishes before you leave. Please bring your own linen (towels, sheets and tea towels) there are some pillows available, but you may wish to bring additional pillows. The bach is also non smoking, but allowed outside on deck.

Its cheapest place in Te Kaha I could see. Like its a bach and it looks like it needs a bit of maintenance. But you get a lot for the price you pay. Neighbours were friendly too

This is our second time staying there and it did not disappoint. Everything about the place is great - clean, tidy, great amenities, neighbors and loved the visits from the dogs. Highly recommend - we will definitely be booking this place again on our next visit!!

Very comfortable bach - obviously a fisherman's hideaway (it did have a slight fishy smell when we arrived) but nothing we couldn't sort out. Lovely and quiet, comfy and warm. Thank you!

Awesome weekend stay. So cosy, spacious and had everything we needed. Wayne was amazing with communication with us and this was important as we travelled over from Australia for our stay. Location is prime. So central to everything. Will definitely look at booking again when we're back home in New Zealand

We booked for 3 nights although it was wet and sodden for most of our stay. The Bach is well insulated and was warm and cosy so we didnt venture out far instead staying put and having a few whānau drop in for a cuppa. The Bach has a great layout with a spacious open living area and a kitchen where one can cook and talk to the whānau at the same time. We had our grandaughter with us and the main room accommodated a porter cot while my wife and I slept upstairs, shes tall but still could fit on the bed and they were comfy. Having a shed attached we were able to dump all our wet boots and gear straight into the shed with lots of space for our luggage as well. The external washouse was great we managed to get our baby gears washed and on the line and dried within a few hours so appreciated that. The area is quiet we did enjoy the local dogs visiting us and the neighbours smiled at us however, respected our privacy. We loved the Bach and highly recommend the stay to whomever are considering travel to the area. Kia ora.
