Newly refinished Villa with quaint private patio over looking natural unspoiled rainforest. Plenty of wildlife to view right from the balcony or patio as you sip your morning coffee. Nice pool with waterfall for an end of day relaxation. Well appointed kitchen with all amenities for cooking. Two AC unit keep the Villa very comfortable. Only 8 condos in this quiet, private gated community. 5 Star ratings on other sites. The Villa is full of all necessities to make your stay fantastic and memorable!

We were in CR for a month and stayed here for five days. We loved the quiet gated community with a pool and plenty of wildlife. The villa was perfect for us with just a short drive to several beaches and markets. Mary has the house fully stocked to make your beach experience easy for travelers; beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels etc. Our favorite part was watching the monkeys and macaws out by the pool in the evenings. We highly recommend this for those with their own transportation and the desire to be out of the crowds.

It's a nice little place with all the amenities listed. Our family of 4 just wanted to go to the beach for the day and this was a great option as it is close to playa mantas and playa blanca. Chris, the property manager, was very helpful and even gave us some tips on where to park for our trip to the beach. The only criticism we have is that the sofa bed is not comfortable and cannot fit anyone over five foot six. We were hoping to use it for our teenage son but instead he had to share the bed with his sibling which wasn't much fun for him. Apart from that, it was a nice place to stay.

Great quiet location for exploring the area. The condo had everything we needed, and was super clean when we arrived. Both Mary and property manager Chris were responsive and helpful before and during our stay. We'd definitely stay here again!

The unit was very nice, though a little quirky. We didn't expect that the bedrooms were only upstairs, though that was fine for us. The pool was nice, though the fountain wasn't on.

Served well

The place was ideal between San Jose and Manuel Antonio. Recommend getting new sheets and cleaning window sills of dead bugs. Beautify butterflies, humming birds and iguanas were observed. The waterfall on the pool didn’t work- but we were happy enough with the one night stay.

Abundance and Joy

We enjoyed Mary’s place very much. The small gated community allowed us to visit with Dani and Barbara who were also staying in the complex. So wonderful to get advice for excursions from other visitors. Chris who helped us with our arrival was beyond helpful. Chris was responsive and very willing to answer all my questions as quickly as he can. Mary, the owner was very flexible and caring. The location was perfect as our two favorite beaches, Playa Blanca and Playa Pita , were 10 minutes to the left and 10 minutes to the right. We will return to be loved again by the spirit of Pura Vida .

Perfect Basecamp Respite

So happy to have found this spot for our first trip to Costa Rica. We wanted to have a basecamp from where we could explore both national parks and beaches. We had a great time visiting Carara and Manuel Antonio national parks as well as Rainmaker - all easy day trips. The beaches were absolutely amazing and we were so grateful for the tips that our host provided. They were also so very helpful in providing a car rental reference and everything turned out great on that end. There is some construction going on in a neighboring lot but we were honestly too busy to be bothered by it. This condo faces the other direction so we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio early each morning listening to the spectacular cacophony of birds, including some very friendly hummingbirds. The amenities were wonderful, the AC, washer/dryer all worked just fine. Water tasted great, we are a bit picky on that and thought we might have to buy bottled water but it was not necessary. Master bed was extremely comfortable, slept incredibly well every night. This was our perfect respite after busy days of exploring and we would recommend to anyone looking at staying in the area! Communication with both the host and local property manager was a breeze. Thank you both and Pura Vida!!

Nice spot

We enjoyed our stay, great beaches close by. Owner was very helpful, local manager a little less knowledgeable about the area outside of main tourist attractions, but easy to figure out on your own. AC was key, little pool by the unit was terrific.

Paradise Found

We stayed in the villa a short driving distance to several very private beaches and one very busy beach. None within walking distance. The pool at the villa was lovely and refreshing. We never saw another person there. The balcony overlooking the back was just amazing. We saw more wildlife in the backyard than anywhere else on our visit. Coffee every morning on the balcony brought more birds than you can imagine and almost always the sweet white faced monkeys. The villa was well equipped with most everything you need. Host and property manager were very communicative and helpful with booking tours if needed. Thanks Mary and Chris for making our stay most enjoyable.

Great location and comfortable

My best friend and I visited Costa Rica for the very first time. We were met by the property manager chris after our plane delay and bad weather. We ventured out every day. Many things are close. The restaurant to your immediate left after turning on main road was relaxed and great cheaper food. The market located to your right and down was awesome and good prices. Best yet than going to Jaco. We will be back. Good hosts and prompt communication

Great value and good location!

We had a very good stay at Paradise Found. The property manager, Chris is excellent -- on top of everything and super pleasant. The condo is small but efficient and had most everything we needed for our stay. The owner has put a lot of time and attention into this property, and we appreciated all of her care to make her place feel like home to her guests. Her three-ring binder is full of great suggestions of places to see, restaurants and other activities for guests of all ages. It could use a bit of updating, as prices and other things have changed. One thing guests should know is that you cannot simply drive to one of the national parks in the area and buy a ticket there. You MUST buy them online at least one day in advance. We got turned away after driving 3 hours (thanks to a crash on the highway) to Manuel Antonio National Park and lost one of our four precious days there.We enjoyed the local beaches, a trip to Tortuga Island on the Costa Cat cruise, and Nauyaca Falls is a must! Costa Rica is a beautiful country filled with happy people and we look forward to returning.Thank you, Mary, for your hospitality!

Beautiful neighborhood

It is a very cute Costa Rican style condo in the jungle full of exotic animals. It is very safe since there is a big and a small gate before you enter the condo. You don't hear any noise of civilization, only the animals. We have seen a group of squirrel monkeys, iguanas, and a scarlet macaw around the pool. Housekeeping could have done a better job regarding dead bugs and spider webs.

Must Stay!

Lovely home with all the essentials and more. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us Mary! Sit on the top deck and say high to the hummingbird that is usually on the tree to the right or feeding nearby. Check out Chanchitos Taqueria in the ATV plaza and go on the Costa Cat tour to Isla Tortuga. The corner store on the end of the has everything you need, the salsa and tortilla chips are amazing there.

A Beautiful Natural Environment

Superb nature viewings from the balcony facing the forest including monkeys every day, numerous birds and a mama sloth with a baby. Well maintained landscaping and pool. Spacious and well decorated villa with excellent air conditioning. Great service from property manager Chris. Quiet and safe.

Paradise Truly Found

We had an excellent stay at Paradise Found. Mary’s place was absolutely gorgeous. It was clean and had everything we needed. We felt right at home. In the mornings, you will be greeted by a family of iguana’s sunning themselves. Use Waze and you’ll find the place easily. It’s a bit secluded in a gated community but if you have a car, there are stores and restaurants near by. Jaco is just a short drive 10 minute drive away.

I stayed for 7 nights at Paradise Found. The house has everything you can think a house should have to make your stay cozy, homy and comfortable. The location is great, near many beaches and attractions. Both Mary the owner and Chris the host reached out during our time there to see of everything was fine, and it was! It’s a big yes!

Comfortable basecamp for your expedition

Our stay was fantastic. The check-in process was white-glove, and Chris, the property manager, was always just a text away to field questions and provide suggestions on activities. The condo was neat as a pin and very well stocked, and the location is quiet and secure but requires that you have a car to get to Jaco and surrounding attractions. Overall - a wonderful stay!

Hidden paradise

Mary’s place is beautifully decorated and has plenty of amenities to make you feel like home. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the upper balcony in the early mornings & the covered bottom patio when it rained at night. I did have a car which made it easier to explore the local beaches and restaurants and go into Jaco. There are beach and pool accessories plus plenty of linens & kitchen supplies. Despite being a bit off the main road, extra security measures have been put in place. The quiet location was a welcome change from the busy Jaco center. Mary and the local property management were quick to respond and easy to communicate. Thank you - pura vida!!

Peaceful getaway

A charming place, clean and comfortable. Pool right there, and near beautiful beaches. We didn't have a car, so it took a bit to figure out how to get around. Great digs to come home to after days out.
