"Beautiful room and bathroom at the front of the hotel. Had large balcony, shared with other rooms (although nobody else used it when we were there). Extremely comfortable room with efficient aircon. Food in the on-site restaurant was excellent, as was the hotel's home-grown/produced wine. Breakfast also great, with loads of choice. Staff polite and helpful. Some noise from passing trains when windows were open, but being near the station was a requirement for us, and this didn't impact our stay....

"What a gorgeous property! Received an upgrade to a corner suite which was not only large but had spectacular lake views. Felt like royalty. Dined at Le Relais where both the food and service were excellent. The hotel is adjacent to a funicular and an easy walk to town. The staff are wonderful. A truly fantastic stay. "Our room was upgraded to lake view. Breakfast buffet had many choices and delicious. The room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly. "

"Staff! Due to a landslide caused by heavy rains, our party of 4 was stuck in Milan with no way to get back to Lugano. Hotel staff arrange a taxi to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel when all transpiration options were overtaxed and expensive. The staff literally saved us from a very difficult circumstance."

"Very nice hotel. The view from our room was incredible and the room was very large and nice. Essentially an apartment. The hotel has a couple of restaurants we did not make it to and a cool bar with a great view. There is a train station pretty close by, but you do need to go up and down a big hill to get to anything if walking."

"Was an issue, but I couldn't define adequately the reason. During the booking, I don't remember to have the option to change the age of my kid. I came early and alone to do the check in and receive the key. When we arrive late in the night, the booking was done for under 1 year old (she is 11) so just one bed was in the bedroom. They offer option to resolve and that's a good point, but the error could be in the website, or the hotel options. But definitively, the location was great to visit...
