Baliyana Lodge is a slice of paradise - beautifully landscaped grounds among the native trees on a hillside overlooking a valley towards the ocean. Remote but only 15 mins to the beach and 25 mins to Tamarindo. The hosts could not have been nicer, wonderful, healthy breakfast included, quiet, peaceful and serene location. The three cozy bungalows are comfortably appointed with understated elegance and simple luxury. A/C, awesome tile shower with great water pressure, plenty of shelving, nice refrigerator / freezer, stone tile flooring. The infinity pool is amazing, with awesome views of the valley. The only drawback was pool hours end at 6:00 pm making use difficult after being gone during day. But it's likely a safety / liability issue and a very small concern compared to the many positives of this magical property. Many thanks to the hosts for their kind hospitality!

Nathalie and her husband are super gracious and attentive hosts. The accommodations were excellent. The welcome from Howler monkeys in the trees, was a welcome treat!! There are breathtaking views and it is a secluded and secure property. They have put a lot of love and hard work into making this gorgeous retreat.The breakfast was yummy and there is a restaurant nearby that had amazing service and good food. On a side note, we had a low tire before we got there and it went flat. Nathalie’s husband had a pump and saved the day! We would definitely go back!

Amazing Oasis in Costa Rica

Hosts were great communicators and provided a healthy delicious breakfast. The gardens host a plethora of different plants and one can see a variety of different exotic birds. The room is cozy and well equipped, and the infinity pool overlooking the jungle is amazing

A calm and happy place!

This was maybe the greatest experience we’ve ever had with a VRBO property. The host was so cheery and helpful. The grounds and buildings were meticulously maintained and the thought that went into the design and construction of the “cabins” was remarkable. So much love and attention to detail. Wish we had booked a longer stay.
