In a late 19th century building, in the heart of Ortigia, where the famous market is held every day and the chatter of the vendors is confused with the scents of the dozens of fish taverns in the area, there is the Casa Zancle, an apartment of superior category equipped with all comforts to spend unforgettable days. Among the ceramic floors of Caltagirone, the terraces from which you can see the sea and the port of Ortigia, the refined furnishings, you will fully breathe the flavor of millennial Sicily. Excellent shopping with the daily outdoor market.I have no idea why vineyards are a question.There is a disconnect between the English & Italian versions of the website. The English shows 3 bedrooms & three beds; the Italian (which is correct) shows two bedrooms & three beds, one of which is a sofa bed. I booked based on the English as I required 3 bedrooms.

Ortigia Apartment

Great location, nice apartment. Worked well for 3 adults traveling together. We were able to walk all over Ortigia and loved the proximity to the street market and restaurants. A written home instruction booklet would be helpful.

Nice week in Ortigia with Family

The property was great for our family of 5. The location is very near to the main island parking, and to the market. We really enjoyed visiting the market each morning, and getting fresh produce and seafood. Also there are several restaurants steps away. The property itself was roomy and nice, and exactly as described. I will say that Rosario is the perfect host and we greatly really appreciated his personal help in a couple situations. He really went the extra mile for us!

Our favorite part of Ortigia.

Located in the wide streets amid the fun of the markets, Casa Zancle has lots of space with all the items you want for a relaxing stay in Ortigia. It is right near Talete car parking. Rosario and Rose are wonderful hosts, and Rose went out of her way to help us. Casa Zancle is only metres from our two favorite restaurants: Oz and Cappuccio and Divino Mare.

Perfekter Aufenthalt in Siracusa

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt mitten im Sizilianischen, bunten Leben. Einkaufen auf dem quirligen, täglichen Markt um die Ecke ist eine wahre Freude. Eine Vielzahl von Restaurants und Bars ohne Auto leicht zu erreichen. Die Wohnung selbst ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und großzügig geschnitten. Die Übergabe der Wohnung durch den Vermieter war sehr freundlich und informativ. Auch bei Abreise gab es keine Probleme. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Einziger kleiner Fehler: Auf der Internetseite werden zwei Schlafräume angegeben. Es gibt aber nur einen separaten Schlafraum für zwei. Weitere Gäste müssen auf der Doppelcoutch im Wohnzimmer schlafen.

Excellent property with very spacious and comfortable rooms.

The kitcken was well appointed with everything needed for cooking, good washing machine, nice bathrooms. The lounge room was really comfortable with everything you need and modern furnishings. The bed was really comfy and there was enough storage along with the large wardrobe in very spacious dining room. Everything was very clean and Rosario and Rose very helpful and kind in every way possible.

A perfect apartment in Ortigia!

Our first stop in Sicily was Ortigia/Siracusa. We communicated with the friendly owner, Rosario, who was very responsive to my questions and the reservation process. After flight delays, we arrived in Ortigia in our rental car and was greeted by adorable Rosario and Rose. One of the reasons for choosing the apartment in historic Ortigia was the access to the parking garage nearby where we could easily roll our suitcases to the apartment and travel to various areas of Sicily with ease. The apartment was perfection! Beautiful tile floors everywhere, tall ceilings, a nice kitchen, laundry room in a loft area, bedroom with a comfortable bed, two bathrooms, a nice living room and dining room- airy, modern, and comfortable. There is air conditioning for warm Sicilian summers and screens in the windows and French doors. The apartment is on the 4th floor, so be prepared for a slight hike! One of the other benefits of the location is the open market right around the corner. Early in the morning we would walk to a local cafe for coffee and then walk through the busy market filled with fishmongers, vegetable and fruit dealers, spices, nuts and everything fresh! Fabulous! The walk into historic Ortigia is easy and beautiful; lots of good restaurants, shops, historic sites. We loved our stay in Ortigia and Home Zancle! Next time we will stay longer! Thank you Rosario and Rose for making our visit perfect!

Perfect apartment

Perfect apartment for enjoying Ortigia. Located above a bustling street and around the corner from a fantastic market. Many restaurants and specialty food shops on your doorstep and an easy walk to the heart of Ortigia (the duomo). The apartment is stunning and very clean. Beautiful high ceilings and finished to a very high standard. Bed is very comfortable. Our son slept on the sofa bed and had no complaints. Kitchen is equipped for cooking simple meals. Rosario is a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. He left us a fruit basket and lovely bottle of wine. Bedding, towels and cleaning all included in price. Parking on the street is tricky but there is a huge parking lot two minute walk away so we had no problems. Would no doubt stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.
