If you want a place to stay where you won’t be able to get any sort of peace and quiet, or appropriate amenities within the room, and staff are non responsive to your needs, definitely book here. It will be worth the waste of money.

Arrived very late & was able to check-in expediently. Staff was there to greet me. The facility is spotlessly clean. Observed staff continually cleaning floors and vestibule. Everything looked & smelled clean and fresh.

My stay at the Best Western at the Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY was very disappointing. The mattress in my room was absolutely horrible, one of the worst I have ever slept on. I asked if something could be done about it, but nothing was ever resolved during my stay. The rooms are very outdated, and in the afternoon I had cold water in the shower, which is not what you expect after a long day. Housekeeping was also very poor. They forgot to replace towels, and I learned that you actually have to request room cleaning even if you are staying five nights. What made it worse was the attitude at the front desk. Every time I asked for help, the response was very defensive instead of helpful. There was no effort to work with me or solve the issues. The manager was also nowhere to be seen the entire time. Overall this hotel seems very poorly managed. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere else.

The service felt disorganized and dismissive. If you value sleep and basic customer care, look elsewhere. Now the only positive: The restaurant inside the hotel is a completely different story. It is outstanding — easily one of the best restaurant experiences in Queens, New York. The food and service there were excellent. So here’s the bottom line: Do not book this hotel. But absolutely eat at the restaurant.

The room and hotel were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was poor. Very little choice. Loud train in the middle of the night passed by for at least 30 minutes.

Booked online last minute after I decided to call it a night due to bad weather. When I checked in I was charged an extra $97 for my dogs ! I travel with them often and have never had to pay such a high rate. I was given a “special” pet friendly room that was absolutely disgusting. Shower walls were cracked and falling apart. Water did not get hot . The room itself was very dirty. I knew it was far from a 5 star however cleaning isn’t that difficult.

The bed was horribly uncomfortable. our room on the second floor had no hot water no matter how long we let it run for to heat up. Luke warm was the best we got. The lady who checked us in was very rude and short with us. The only good thing about the place is not having to go outside for the steakhouse.

The credit card keys worked one time and not again, the body wash dispenser in the shower was missing, I got two bars of soap at the desk, the water in the shower never got hot, the grab bar in the tub came off in my hand, the drain in the sink barely drained. Ice machine out of order, back exit filled with snow, one of the juice dispensers in the breakfast room out of order. Property has gone way downhill. Have stayed there many times before, this is the last time
