"We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat!"

"I felt like I was so much at home"

"This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. The bed was great and having a coffee on the front deck was a great way to start the day. Thank you to the hosts! Cheers @EddieMac75 "

"Beautiful first stop on our East Coast trip. The house was quaint, clean and well appointed. It was minutes to the town of Sydney and a lovely resting spot between days on the Cabot Trail. The hosts were responsive and helpful. 10/10 highly recommend!!"

"This was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and explore Cape Breton. Great location and the private beach was extra special. "

"My son and I stayed here to have a little adventure while we were in CB for a sports tournament. We really enjoyed the location and had an awesome sleep!"

"Quiet and clean but bathroom door has poor lock. Hard to find your driveway entrance due to sign fallen down and no reflective tape marking."

"I can’t overstate what a wonderful time we had at this property. We were there for the better part of two weeks and didn’t want to leave - the views of rolling fields and the Bras D’Or were expansive and peaceful; the cottages were super well appointed and exuded so much character; the location was just outside Baddeck was perfect.The hosts were super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. We truly couldn’t ask for more, and look forward to a return visit to explore even more of magical Cape...

"We celebrated my parents 70th anniversary at Rita's. We had the entire place. This is a very large property and it was perfect for our event. Very clean and well equipped. Mike the maintenance man stopped by to ensure all was good and said to call at any time if we needed anything. The pool was amazing and was loved by all from my 8 month old great grandson to my 89 year old mom. The young adults loved all the room for lawn games and the fire pit at night. Everyone is already talking...

"Every one of us loved it here - grown ups, kids, and dog. We had many great adventures in a short time and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids and the dog loved roaming the beach right outside and swimming in such perfectly clear and calm water was wonderful. Well equipped apartment and helpful friendly hosts. Recommended and we hope to be back some day. "
