Great location, the best part of the stay. It was a very quick walk to the lake and bay. The common areas were comfortable with nice couches, and the kids/teenager enjoyed the outside games.That said, we were disappointed with the property's policies and communication. We were required to purchase a mandatory 50 rental insurance policy, which is unique among all the rentals we’ve booked. This felt especially egregious after receiving a reprimanding email from the owner for accidentally leaving the non-weatherproof cornhole set out overnight an issue that should be covered by the required insurance or addressed by providing simple instructions. Furthermore, two of the three beds were old and uncomfortable and should be replaced.

Great get away at Uncle Bobs

Quaint college with a lot of family history. Loved coffee in the mornings sitting on the porch. Very short walk two different directions with the view of Sturgeon Bay. Fun family game night.

Beautiful Sunsets

My family loved the rental and our time in Door County. The rental was very clean with comfy beds and plenty of room for the family. It was a short walk to the bay where we enjoyed the evening sunsets. Judy was a great host and made sure my family was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Uncle Bob's cabin

Property was in an area of wooded, rural feeling. Lots of trees, saw deer and a bunny. Inside cabin was quirky, with addition built on. Spacious, but you must mind the steps inside. Only one shower, which also requires a step up. Very quiet area, walked the short distance to nearby bar and grill, which had a wonderful fish fry. We spent most of our time visiting museums, parks, and lighthouses, didn't cook. Was disappointed that previous guests didn't wash dishes well, so we had to wash everything before using.

Excellent Recovery Cottage for Fall 50

Great little cottage away from the hustle and bustle of Sturgeon Bay. Close enough the get to where we needed, yet far enough to decompress after the Door County Fall 50. Plenty of space for my family, quiet location, all of the needed amenities and then some. Could kick back, watch a movie, sip some coffee, and watch the deer walk across the backyard.

Getaway with Granddaughters

Uncle Bob’s Cabin was much better than described on VRBO. We were surprised with how spacious it was! And such a lovely setting. Near the road but we hardly heard or saw a car. The house was so clean and included everything we needed. Little touches in the kitchen like the glasses and dishes with cherry designs were an added surprise. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed in the family room. We enjoyed going out for the day, but looked forward to coming “home” and playing cards, drinking flavored coffee and laughing together most of all. We would like to return with more family members next year…

Great Door Country Getaway

We had a wonderful time in Door County, and this property was perfect for our family. The home was clean, spacious, and had many amenities to make it an ideal place to stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck after a busy day of adventures, playing games in the house, and walks to the lake nearby. We would definitely visit again.

Family annual Trip
