Family Friends Weekend Getaway

My family of 5 traveled to Door County to meet my best friend of over 30 years and her family of 4 for a relaxing getaway. We both live in Wisconsin and see each other regularly, but we wanted a change of scenery to relax. This cottage on Clark Lake was EXACTLY what we were looking for! The cottage comfortably fit our group of 9, was clean and cozy. We celebrated my son's 9th birthday, sat by the fire, played games and enjoyed our time together. We had plans to venture out and do touristy things, but we felt so at home, we spent most of our time at the cottage. The owners were beyond kind - the communication was top-notch and the cottage was inviting with lots to do and all the kitchen essentials we needed. The owners also gave great suggestions on what to do and where to eat in the area. I would definitely recommend again and again and again! Thank you for a wonderful time!!

Door County weekend

This home worked out great for our family of six adults and four children under 10! We only had a weekend but enjoyed going to White Dunes State Park, The farm, Fish Creek, etc. The hosts gave us plenty of information beforehand and were very responsive with any questions we had during our stay.

Family Hideaway

My family enjoyed our stay very much. If you want a secluded getaway where you can unplug and just spend time with your family this is the spot. The lake was beautiful and it was very quite and peaceful.

Family vacation 2023

Had a great time. Liked waking up to sipping coffee on the lake. Convenient to all of Door County and in a very quiet and less crowded East side of the peninsula. Only negatives are lack of wifi, cell service is very spotty and I don't see a mention of that in the amenity section of the website. The other comment is maybe have a couple of kayaks available to renters so you don't have to go outside to have some delivered. Otherwise, appreciated the stocking of plenty of K cups for us coffee drinkers and plenty of towels, soap, fire wood, and other items. Owners were very approachable and house was very clean and comfortable.

Fun stay at Clark Lake Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in 2022 so much that we returned in 2023. The cottage was perfect for our family of six adults and two children. We appreciated having four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and a modern, well-stocked kitchen. We liked eating our meals on the screened porch and relaxing around campfires in the evening. We especially liked having a dock on a quiet lake for using our paddleboards and kayaks. Everyone agreed that staying in this cottage helped make our family vacation a success.

Family Vacation 2022

This was the perfect cabin for our family of six adults and two children. The pleasant atmosphere enhanced our wonderful Door County vacation. We appreciated the well-supplied kitchen and bottled water. We had good conversations in both living areas and enjoyed our meals close to nature on the screened porch. We used the grill, which worked well. The fire pit was another area we enjoyed. We appreciated the many chairs and firewood. The dock was perfect for water sports and swimming, and we used the beach towels. The only suggestion is to supply more bath towels and wash clothes, although we used the washer and dryer to clean our used ones. We definitely would return to this very special cabin for another family get-together.

Great location

Very dated, bad smell on entry, all pots and pans heavily scratched, several broken chairs. This could be a very nice property and the location is awesome. Needs some attention to justify the price. Not worth it as is.

A lovely cottage surrounded by trees on a beautiful lake, secluded, yet near fun things to do.

Kerri and Scott are excellent hosts, and were very responsive when we experienced a storm related power outage. They were genuinely committed to making sure our family had an enjoyable week. The cottage is lovely and was the perfect setting for our extended family. We really felt at home enjoying meals together on the porch, and the lake was so much fun for the kids and adults to swim and kayak. Every night we gathered around the fire pit for a campfire. There is so much to see and do in the immediate area that we couldn’t fit it all in during our week’s visit. I would love to plan for our family to return to the cottage for another week in the future.

July family vacation

The property is older but the water and Lake are great for young kids for sure! The host is more than helpful and the house is well stocked even with beach towels, all soaps from laundry to dish soap and shower necessities.

Fantastic Vacation!!!

Perfect, absolutely perfect!

Kelly and Scott were amazing hosts who were a joy to communicate with. The property is the epitome of lakeside relaxation. While the cabin was advertised as not being babyproof, we were able to easily accommodate our 1 year old. The toys provided in the cabin literally caused our 3 year old to squeal for joy. I highly recommend renting a kayak or canoe during your time at the property. Clark lake is absolutely phenomenal. We definitely will be back again. Thank you so much Scott and Kelly for everything!

Wonderful stay at a perfect spot!

The home was just right for our group of adults and young children. We spent a lot of time fishing off the dock, swimming and paddle boarding on the lake. We also had fun exploring the area. This was a wonderful stay at a perfect spot!

Perfect Location and Best Stocked Property I've Ever Stayed At

Idyllic location on lake and dead end streets so virtually no traffic, great for talking walks. Big bottles of high end soaps and shampoos, ample paper products, and beach towels which are so new they haven't even been opened from their plastic packaging. Entire case of bottled water included. Salt and pepper shakers which haven't even been opened. Tons of extra chairs outside to sit on, you can grab plastic ones and use on dock. My mom said half serious, half in jest, "Why don't we buy this place?"

Just as described

This spot was exactly what we were looking for to break up the monotony of being in our own house since Covid began. Kerri was responsive, friendly and helpful when it came to everything. Overall a great experience. Will have to come back when the weather is a bit warmer next year!

Perfect Relaxing Lake Getaway

We stayed at Kerri and Scott's property for an end of summer getaway to relax and disconnect before the craziness of remote schooling begins. It has a beautiful view of Clark Lake. The water is clear and great for swimming. The house is a quintessential lake house getaway - cozy with lots of indoor and outdoor space for large groups to spread out. The screen porch was perfect for enjoying family meals. We used the fire pit nightly for roasting s'mores while enjoying the beautiful view. The house was clean and had everything we needed - the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of games, toys and DVDs to keep everyone occupied. Kerri and Scott were very responsive and provided great recommendations for day trips, restaurants and rentals. It would be a great winter spot as well. We would love to go back!

We had an amazing stay. Perfect lake for the kids who want to enjoy the water. Crystal clear and shallow. We were still able to get some fish as well. Just an amazing time overall. One of our top vacations for sure. Would love to come back!

Delightful Pause In Stress Filled Times

Kerri and Scott offer a wonderfully clean, well-located Door County Cabin on Clark Lake for weary, recently quarantined folks who need a change of scenery and routine. We brought our three kids and spent about five days enjoying this ageless home right on the water. We've rented many places through VRBO over the years - but we don't recall ever staying a better stocked, home. Kerri and Scott have generously provided everything you need in the kitchen, and throughout the home, so that you can just focus on relaxation and "being Up North." We spent our days enjoying the extra long pier that juts out into the crystal clear water of Clark Lake. While we didn't fish, we saw numerous pan fish and even a few large bass. The water was warm and the kids thoroughly enjoyed accessing it throughout the day and evening just steps from the comfortable screened in porch. We took our meals out there, enjoying the sound of the water and the fresh smell of pine. Breezes seem to blow off the lake regularly, so that you are always comfortable. The kids also enjoyed the vast DVD collection in the family room. We, the parents, enjoyed the fact that the family room could be closed off to the rest of the home so that we could enjoy a good book! The kid's bedrooms upstairs were cozy and had plenty of room and bedding, and they had thier own bathroom as well. The master bedroom downstairs is private and quiet, and the king sized bed is extremely comfortable. The cabin is near Lake Michigan, on the "quiet" side of Door County, but Egg Harbor is just a beautiful 20 minute car ride away. We had no problem heading into town for ice cream and occasional takeout. Everything about the cabin harkens to a time gone by - a quieter, simpler, cozier time - and it is exactly what's needed in these incredibly stressful and frenetic times. Kerri and Scott are generous and attentive hosts - their communication with us exceeded every one of our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their lovely home on Clark Lake, and we've returned to our everyday lives refreshed and renewed. We highly recommend their home, and we plan to return in the Fall! Thank you, Kerri and Scott, for the delightful pause in our stress-filled lives!

Fun and relaxing family week!

We have been renting homes in Door County for 13 years and this has been one of the best! The house was the cleanest we have seen. Beds were all very comfortable. We were not wanting for anything in the kitchen or linen department. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids ages 11 to 13. Especially loved the separate game/tv room for the kids! Huge selection of DVDs, games and books, even a few toys for younger kids. Screened in porch was used for every meal and crafts and there was a fire in the outdoor firepit down by the lake every night. Large yard perfect for a game of bags. Very grateful for a washer and dryer. The lake was wonderful for kayaking, tubing and skiing. We also brought our bikes and visited Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point several times during the week, both located within a few miles. The kids were sad for no wifi and spotty cell service but as a parent it was welcomed! We also did not miss air conditioning as the breeze off the lake was cool every night. Communication with the owners was easy and check in/out procedure a breeze.

Terrific property.

This is a very nice lake property in a quiet part of the lake. I would definitely return to it. It has a nice fire pit close to shore. Clark Lake is beautiful and the property is a short distance from Cave Point County Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park, the most beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. Nice area for road cycling and kayaking. The cottage is very comfortable; we had 8 adults and had plenty of room.
