"When you flush the toilet in bathroom it makes a horrible loud noise. Info on apartment states it has washer and dryer - it does not. It has a washer and a hanging rack. There was still food in fridge and cabinets, was only given 2 towels for 4 people. Beds are close to floor and are horrible. No roller paper in one of the bathrooms. I truly wanted to walk out. "

"After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. "

"Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "

"A cosy small family run hotel and restaurant on the coast with great views. Plenty of onsite parking, warm welcome on arrival. Room was spacious and comfortable with a sea view. Both the evening meal and breakfast are delicious with a good selection of food and drink. Can highly recommend dining here. Thank you especially Angie the morning breakfast server. Will definitely stay again. "

"All is perfect! We loved all! My kids enjoyed the swimming pool, and I really loved the gluten free food! For me the Hunting chicken is the best Aberdeen’s hunting chicken (yes, eat the similar food in other differents places in Aberdeen! But, of the hotel restaurant is the best!)."

"Building works are limiting the car parking area and in general making the place untidy."

"All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was good and could be altered to suit different tastes. The bus service to get into town is a short walk from the hotel. It is not the best hotel and it is not the worst hotel by a long way but it suited us and we look forward to our next visit."
