My home is peaceful and comfortable, and is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. You will have the entire lower level of my home, with no shared or common areas. There is one very large bedroom with a queen & twin, and the spacious family room has a double bed which is also great for lounging and watching movies. Both rooms have TVs with FIOS. There is a mini-fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker (no kitchen). I supply coffee, teas, water, paper plates, cups and basic utensils. Nearby is the Reston & Dulles Town Centers, the Air & Space Museum, & the WO&D Trail (the Trail is accessible from my neighborhood). A little further out is our outstanding wine country, outlet shopping & Tysons. It is 3 miles to the closest Metro stop (on the Silver Line), and about 25 miles into the District. I'm conveniently located 3 miles north of Dulles, ~1 mile off of Rt. 28. All the major commuting routes are easily accessible. You will be comfortable and welcome here.

First and foremost, Sue was very prompt in replying to my many questions. It was reassuring to have answers come quickly when I needed them. Secondly, the accommodations were exceptionally comfortable, and cozy and clean. Thirdly, I had absolutely everything I needed in addition to a wonderful selection of books from which to borrow. It was very much a home away from home.

The place was perfect for my family's vacation needs. It's close to everything--shops, restaurants, airport and sightseeing spots- yet it sits in a quiet neighborhood. The lodging itself is clean, spacious and private. And the host is exceptionally warm, nice and accommodating. Will definitely keep this location for future family out-of-state visits.

Host was very responsive. Detailed instructions provided for check in and check out. Big clean space to enjoy and relax in. Had whole downstairs of split level home to ourselves. Apartment size fridge, microwave and keurig was all we needed for our 3 nights in town. Teas, keurig pods, bottled water provided. Would not hesitate to book again if we're in town again.

Inaccurate property description. You are NOT renting the whole house even though it's coded as being the whole house. It's the basement in the home, you go into the house thru the same door as the people who live in the house, with a bedsheet hung like a curtain to separate the spaces. Host wants you to limit your time in the shower. Electrics wonky-- can't run a microwave and coffee maker at the same time or fuse blows. On the plus side lots of nice lamps.

Close to Metro Station and Quiet

I attended a conference in DC but didn't want to pay DC prices or pay to park in DC each day. I found this lovely location close to the Metro. It is a super clean, comfortable, and quiet space. There are lots of great eateries nearby as well as grocery and shopping centers for last-minute items.

Home away from home 🏡

This is the perfect place to rest , refresh and renew with a bestie or family member . Located in a beautiful neighborhood and close to everything you need. We enjoyed the spacious layout, Comfortable beds and attention to detail from Our host Susan. Everywhere we turned there were little” extras” like A phenomenal hot and cold tea and coffee bar, extra warm blankets And plenty of towels. I truly felt we were home and I’m sure you will too!

We enjoyed our stay - The suite was versatile and beds were comfortable. The location was convenient to Reston Hospital (our destination). We found the neighborhood entrance to the Old Dominion Trail and went for long walks.

Quiet retreat & excellent recommendations

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was close to Great Falls National Park and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, known locally in the Washington, D.C. area as simply Wolf Trap, The bottom of a split level house was a wonderful quiet retreat after our nature hikes and an evening concert. Our host did a great job communicating where to park and we were grateful for her dining suggestions. We had a fabulous dinner with some local craft beer at Sweet Water Tavern’s outdoor bar and a tasty lunch at Siam Spice. Thanks so much Sue!
