Jack's Log Cabin Near Meramec River in Quiet Wooded Setting With Hot Tub

Jack's Little Log Cabin offers log living in a peaceful wooded country setting 4 miles from Steelville and 12 miles from Cuba or St. James. Come on out, relax and enjoy some rest and restoration on the property or take on some of the many adventures of the nearby area. There are nearby outfitters offering canoes, rafts and kayaks or you can just play on the gravel bar, little over a mile from the cabin. There is adequate parking at the river. Other exciting activities would include sight seeing, hiking, wine tasting, or try the new zip line at Meramec Caverns. Whatever you do during the day, you can plan on coming home to enjoy your barbeque grill, fire pit with wood and of course, your own private hot tub.
The log cabin features a full front porch looking out over the valley, a large rear deck with a lower hot tub level, private bedroom with queen size log bed, private 3/4 bath, kitchenette, and living room with a flat screen TV offering satellite, Roku or DVD player with a library of movies. The refrigerator in the kitchenette is a small fridge. If you plan on bringing a lot food and beverages, I recommend bringing a cooler There is an electric fireplace in the living room for ambiance and provides heat for the cold winter months. You can also operate it without heat if your just wanting to enjoy the flames.

There was no Internet connection for over a 24 hour period, I was unable to watch anything on television, the DVD player was broken so I was not able to even watch a DVD. Shower had to be put on scolding hot to get any water pressure. No blankets provided within the house. Porch light was out. I only stayed two of my four day reservation and the owner is offering no sort of refund. It was a disaster.

Couples vacation

Jack's cabin is a must stay very clean nice little cabin my husband his service dog and I really enjoyed the whole property and the hot tub was amazing and it was very quiet and peaceful and secluded just what we were looking for. We also went on a float trip using the outdoor adventures that the host Cindy Gill recommended and it was a blast as well. The host Cindy was amazing I am going to recommend to all my family's and friends stay at one of their locations and will be staying again ourselves.

Cozy getaway

A perfect place to welcome spring! The Lolblolly Pines on each side of the hot tub were beautiful to look at and sunrises and sunsets were so relaxing. The front porch was also a great spot. Definitely check out the closeby Meramac Spring Park. We would love to return.

Nice little get away

We were looking for a space to just get away and spend time together. This met that need. The hot tub was the selling point for us. However, we didn’t do research on what a mineral hot tub is and it had a smell so we didn’t use it. That’s our fault. The location does allow for pets and there was a bit more hair in the kitchen than anticipated. Otherwise, great little get away. Thank you for having us!

Our welcoming hosts went to a great deal making this a wonderful stay, this cabin is the perfect retreat for anyone seeking a relaxing mountain getaway!

Perfect honeymoon retreat

This was an amazing place, cozy, comfortable, beautiful surroundings, hot tub, all the amenities, clean as a whistle. We got snowed in, the owners gave us lots of warning about the incoming weather and checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Such a great getaway! We're going to come back every year for our anniversary!
