"Michael gave us the kind of treatment that everyone should enjoy. He even took me for a hike to Alarka Falls with his beautiful dog. We had a great time and were able to relax for the stay. Would definitely recommend this property to any couple. Easy access to property and quiet area. "

"The Shipshack is amazing! It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. The property is gorgeous and well kept. It was actually hard for us to leave, we loved it that much! We greatly enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. Book this place! You will not regret it! "

"It was incredible! Immaculate and well-appointed. So cozy and close to everything. Fresh and clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights. Parking was so easy in the large, paved driveway. Grounds had a cottage feel and were lovely! Victor has been so gracious and responsive. We love this VRBO…one of our faves! "

"Great place to stay! The house is amazingly nice. Pretty spectacular for a vacation place. The pic of the bunk room doesn’t do it justice. The back porch and patio area are also top-notch. The house-book was also very helpful. Small additions bring life to the place. Awesome live edge plank for the back porch railing. "This property is great. The place is clean. The hot tub is clean and relaxing. I would have enjoyed a better mattress but that was the only that was not exceptional. The kitchen was well stocked with anything I needed to cook and the neighbors, town and community were all the so friendly. I would definitely stay again."

"We stayed overnight here so we could attend our son’s graduation at nearby WCU. It was perfect for our family of 3 plus the 2 grandmothers. We didn’t do much but sleep and shower there, but would like to return one day to stay longer and enjoy the area."
