Cottage along Lake, Tail of the Dragon and covered motorcycle parking

Bikers, Hikers, Kayakers, this Cozy 3 bedroom 1950's bungalow along Lake Santeetlah is located less than a mile off of HWY129 with easy access from the Tail of the Dragon and the Cheoah River Rapids.. We have covered motorcycle parking. Just 5 minutes to Santeetlah Marina, and a short drive to Joyce Kilmer National Forest, Cherohala Skyway, hiking,biking and kayaking! Great for a family or group of friends for a rustic retreat. This simple cottage has a wonderful front porch and open living dining space with lots of windows and a large farm table with plenty of room for card games or hearty breakfast. We have a full kitchen to prepare meals . We have a washer and dryer for your convenience.There is a full oven and stove, microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker.

What a GREAT place to stay while attending the Annual CHD (Classic Honda Dragon Rally ! The host has everything here that an AU family would need to relax, make dinner, and really enjoy the peace & quiet following a day of LOUD ENGINES ! Hints of AU were well placed to make one feel at home . Communication with Host was easy and responsive .Thank you for making this so MEMORABLE !

Needs a great deal of work

Three bedrooms and we could only use two since the other bed squeaked so bad, I slept on it instead of one of the couples and we had to use the couch. That was a problem with the yard light shinning in both windows Put the covers over your head. No soap in the shower so we had to wait until our next stop to shower. The water was so bad we use the bottle water to brush teeth. Fire had occurred in one room on door to the furnace . No ice trays, dish cloths to do dishes. It was a place we couldn't wait to get away from. Worst in all my VRBO rentals. I would like some money back on the rental since it was so subpar. How do I do that?

Fishing Vacation

This house is a clean home suitable for a fishing vacation. The bathroom is a little small, and we noticed it had a sulfur smell. We did buy water to use for cooking and coffee pot.The parking area is small also. It was a tight fit to park a truck and boat. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Overnight for Tail of the Dragon

Self check in and out. Clean, stocked with clean towels and linens. We were not here long enough to cook for ourselves, but that is a big factor when I book stays. This had a full kitchen, grill, fire pit, washer, dryer and ample space to eat and lounge. Plenty of off street parking for our cars. In between the Tail and town. We will be looking to stay here again.

Beautiful little home in a great location to the Dagon’s Tail and the Cherohala Skyway. One bed was a little low for anyone with mobility issues but they were all very comfortable! Lots of amenities and the host was super helpful. She had her dad replace the broken coffee pot the same day I reported it was not working. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood close to a beautiful lake and has cover parking for motorcycles and provides rags to clean them if you need to. I would absolutely recommend it to friends or family and hope I get the opportunity to stay again in the future!

Hurrican Helene Dragon 2024

We had a 9 day total motorcycle trip. 3 nights here included. We arrived the day after hurricane hit Western NC. We were met with alot of wet land. So arrival was nice to speak with owners to make sure all people were safe and property protected. We were definitely the lucky ones. Power, internet and motorcycle riding.

Do not stay here if you want to prepare your meals on site.

I would not use the pots and pans to prepare any food I wanted to eat. They were that bad, in horrible shape, and should have been trashed a long time ago. Disgusting! The grill was a piece of junk which I would also not use for food I planned to consume. The ice maker did not work and there were no ice cube trays. I cut my visit short because of these issues.

Excellent Location and Private

Very happy with location especially to location for tail of the Dragon. Also enjoyed the surrounding area. Very quiet and peaceful and all local people who we had contact with were exceptionally friendly and courteous. Host was very accommodating and promptly answered any questions or concerns.

A Shower Renovation Away

Very good location for driving enthusiasts in the area for the roads. Set on a quiet road just off Hwy 129 and less than 10 minutes from the conveniences of Robbinsvillle. Great Value- Great Location

We took the motorcycles out for a trip. The cabin is at the end of The Tail of The Dragon. We rode many beautiful roads from the cabin. It’s does have a musty smell but everything was nice inside. Little cover for the two bikes.

La propiedad es comoda. Solo tuvimos unos pequeños detalles negativos como la estufa q solo contaba con 2 hornillas y el grill en la parte afuera estaba muy deteriorado para poder realizar una buena parrillada como deseabamos.
