"This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

"Beautiful house and location.
Host is pretty thoughtful and thorough.
The only issue was we were unable to contact host for any anything like internet password etc"

"The property photos must have been taken a long time ago and are misleading, particularly the living sreas, which are dark and in need of an upgrade.
Despite earlier negative reviews, the bathroom and showers and hot water were fine.
Host did not respond to emails seeking reassurance that issues raised in other reviews had been addressed."

"Nice stay! Would recommend. Hotel was within walking distance to the city center and had plenty of parking. Room had a fridge, microwave, and utensils. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Had a cute charm about it."
