  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

This cabin was the perfect place for a few day getaway! The space was very clean and looks practically brand new! I gave 5 stars across the board, but do have a couple suggestions. A small side table of some sort by the couch could be nice, while we did not intend to spend so much time indoors, it unfortunately rained almost the entire time. It is not the most comfortable space to watch TV, either. But, hopefully most guests would be out hiking anyway if the weather was better! I also wish there had been a side table near the hot tub too, to put drinks and such. As a guest, if you want to use the washer, detergent and softener is not provided.The entrance to the cabin is a very steep hill, that might give some cars a little trouble. I have a compact SUV and had no issues, but it is a shock when you first see the driveway!Even with those little things, trust me when I say, you will love this place. The bed was comfortable, and hot tub was the perfect size for two people. The best part though, is how thorough the host is. She gave perfect directions to the location, she made it very easy to get into the cabin, and she had clear checkout procedures as well.

We visited the Gorge and stayed the evening here. It is a perfect location if you are adventuring at the Gorge. It was cozy and clean and the hot tub was perfect. We loved our stay and would love to stay again.

Stayed here during our visit to the Gorge. It was exactly as described and we loved our time there.A hammock would have been the only improvement I could think of.The unit is under a walnut tree, the fruit did startle us when it fell on top.

3 day getaway

Everything went smoothly. The place is exceptionally clean and , although off beaten path from main roads, it was very close to restaurants, coffee places, etc. We had no problems with roads or driveway with our Ford Escape. We loved the privacy, fire pit, and the hot tub. We hiked an awful lot all three days and it was a treat to return to home base.

Super clean and easy checkin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Upscale was so clean that we thought it was brand new. We were shocked that people wrote in the guest book from 2022! It was also very secluded which we loved. Would 100% recommend and stay here again. The proximity to Natural Bridge SP and Red River Gorge was good.

Upscale Shipping Container

We absolutely loved our stay at this unique shipping container getaway! The property was beautifully designed and felt so private. It was perfect for a romantic weekend. Everything was very clean, and the location couldn’t have been better. It’s tucked away enough to feel secluded, but still just a short drive to all the activities in the area. It was stocked with everything you could need for a weekend, and having a washer and dryer was such a convenient touch. The owner did an amazing job with every detail, and it really shows. It rained a little during our trip, but listening to the rain on the shipping container roof was actually incredibly peaceful and made the experience feel even cozier. The hot tub was hands down our favorite part. We spent both nights relaxing under the stars. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Second time staying here

We stayed here last year over memorial day weekend and we loved the place so much we decided to come back. The cabin is perfect for the two of us. We love to sit by the fire and enjoy the hot tub in the evening after long days out on the trails. I'm sure we will be back again in the future!

Restful Surroundings

My husband and I stayed two nights in this delightful container. The peacefulness of the surroundings was calming and restful. The container had more than we needed. We cooked three meals and found everything required for meal preparation. The bed was comfortable and heating and AC allowed us to stay just right. We certainly plan on returning. Check in and out was easy and communication with the owners was timely.

Property was close enough to the red river gorge and daniel boone areas, increasing the time we could spend on the trails instead of driving. House was SUPER clean! Would not hesitate to stay here again.
