"We had an excellent time at this property. 4 stars for cleanliness as windows and skirtings were dusty and a few cracked tiles on the kitchen floor but otherwise very clean and well presented. Summer house could be doing with a little TLC as the doors don't open and a couple of glass/Perspex panels missing from them. House has 2.5 bathrooms, not 1.5 that's in the description.I would definitely recommend this property to friends and would consider returning should we ever require such a large...

"Gemma and David were very welcoming and answered all our questions quickly. The location is stunning. The cottage is a great size, plenty of space and is very comfortable. Things like handsoap, washing up liquid, toilet roll etc are all provided. Lovely to have the log fire too and also a firepit in the garden which is fenced off and secure for the dog. Just a short walk to the hermitage trail and on to Dunkeld. You would be hard pushed to find such a great accommodation in such a beautiful...

"Great place to explore the nearby areas (Pitlochry, Dunkeld). We needed a space for 4 and a Bernese Mountain dog and it was a good size. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Once we figured out the heating system, it was all good. Would happily come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the BBQ."

"This is our 4th trip to The Retreat and we have had another excellent stay at this wonderful property. The cottage is immaculate and well stocked with everything you could need for your stay. The kids loved playing in the garden and the hot tub. The hosts are welcoming and communication with them was easy and straightforward. Can't wait to return!"

"The apartment was in lovely condition and well maintained but what I appreciated most was the host’s responsive communication and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and stress-free, even calling a cab for us when I had issues with my phone. Highly recommended!"

"The apartment was overall very good, only let down by a poorly fitted kitchen tap, which was very wobbly but worked. We appreciated the supplied teabags, sachets of coffee, soap, towels etc. The deposit system was a bit confusing - I expected to see a £250 payment on my card to be followed by a refund, but it seems they just held the card details "in case" so I guess no charge will be made now, after over a week.
