"It was ok but it's extremely remote and I had trouble getting rides to the city when I needed it. They were good to me. English was a little limited, but we managed. Townspeople aren't supportive or nice. The room was fine, but the only way I could get meals was to order from Walmart/spark in another city, which was pricey. "We travel through Iowa every year at this time and usually stayed here. I won't be staying again, the condition and cleanliness has gone downhill. The excuse is that the pool is undergoing repair but there is mud caked in the elevator and along the hallway carpeting. This should be cleaned up daily but it looks like it hasn't been ever vacuumed. The TV didn't work and after getting a new remote from the front desk, it still didn't work. "I stayed to attend an event at the the university nearby. The room was very nice and clean, and staff were very helpful during my stay. Very basic options for breakfast, but I knew that when I booked."

"Everything was just fine. I did the online check in but still had to sign the same form, show my Id etc. so that was kind of pointless to do both. But overall friendly staff and clean comfy room. Very safe feeling. "

"Close to expressway and gas station. Dollar Store and McDonalds in walking distance. Shares building and parking with Mexican retaurant. Hostess was not friendly. Hall smelled. Room was depressing. All I can say is it seemed clean enough and I didn't detect any insects. On positive side, it was relatively cheap."

"My stay was Wednesday to Sunday. They failed to service the room, even after I asked. Staff was kind but failed to meet requests. I had to go to the desk for tissue and toilet paper. The pool area was under construction. It was isolated but un appealing. "

"Parking was easy and was able to park close to room. Room was clean, although it had a moderate musty smell. The pool area was clean and nice, but the lighting was very dark. The breakfast was good, but there was no butter for toast or waffles. The coffee was very good! They did not have plain creamer available, only hazelnut and french vanilla."
