Welcome to our spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment nestled in the vibrant Soulard neighborhood. Complete with an in-unit washer/dryer, two full bathrooms with shower/tub combo, dedicated workspace in both bedrooms, and all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Enjoy complimentary high-speed wifi, along with access to Netflix and Hulu during your visit. The kitchen is fully stocked with essential cookware, stove, microwave, and countertop dining area.

Explore the lively Soulard scene with its array of restaurants, bars, farmers market, and live music venues, all within walking distance. Plus, with downtown, the iconic Arch, and Busch Stadium just minutes away, the best of St. Louis is at your doorstep.

** Please Note: The Soulard neighborhood can be lively and noisy on nights and weekends, particularly due to the proximity of the Great Grizzly Bar’s courtyard with ours and foot traffic. However, we've provided blackout curtains and honeycomb cellular blinds to help mitigate any disturbances. If you're seeking a quieter retreat, please be aware that this unit may not be suitable for you.

** Please Note: This unit is located on the second floor of the apartment building, with its front entrance accessed through the courtyard of the main building. To reach the courtyard entrance, simply walk down the alley. Please be aware that there are a fair number of stairs involved in accessing the front entrance as well as the bedrooms, which may not be suitable for individuals requiring accessibility accommodations or young children who may need assistance navigating stairs. For reference and to better visualize the stairs, we encourage you to view the provided pictures.

During your stay, enjoy the convenience of secured entry with coded locks, along with access to shared amenities, including a washer/dryer in the basement and a fenced-in backyard. There is plenty of street parking in front of the building. We prioritize your comfort and privacy, offering assistance and recommendations as needed while respecting your space.

POLICIES:

Guest Access: Secured building with coded locks for each unit. You will have private access to your unit along with the shared backyard and washer/dryer in the basement. The front door is keyless entry and auto-lock after 30 seconds. Please make sure doors are closed tightly and all the way to ensure that the deadbolt can fully lock.

Interaction with Guests: You have the place to yourself and we will respect your privacy. However, we are available for help or provide recommendations usually via app message, phone, or text and will reply as soon as we are able. Interested in an extended stay? We can definitely accommodate that. Please contact me regarding specific needs and I will be happy to work with you.

Events: No parties or events are allowed. A $300 charge will incur if events/parties are thrown, and the reservation will be terminated with no refund provided.

Smoking: We have a strict no-smoking policy of any kind (cigarette, marijuana, vapes, etc.) inside the building and on the front/back steps of the building. Smoking is only permitted outside, and guests are responsible for cleaning up cigarette butts. A $300 smoking fee will be charged for smoking inside the unit or the building.

Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise levels respectful at all times, and refrain from loud devices or disruptive behavior.

Safety & Security: The unit is for registered guests only. No unregistered overnight guests are allowed without approval, and extra guests will incur a $100 fee per guest per night. Guests are liable for any damage or personal injury they may cause. Please keep all doors locked at all times, and do not tamper with smoke detectors. Use of candles/incense is strictly prohibited. Grilling/BBQ is not allowed on the premises.

Guests are liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause or incur on premises. We cannot accept responsibility for your losses within the premises or in the parking areas.

Housekeeping Service & Essentials: Housekeeping service is not provided during your stay, but extra cleanings are available for an additional fee. A starter kit of basic supplies will be provided, and guests are responsible for replenishing as needed. Dish soap and hand soap are provided but we do not provide shampoo/conditioner/body wash.

AC/Heat: To promote energy conservation, we kindly ask that you turn off lights as well as all heaters/AC units and any appliances when you're not in the unit. Our building's central AC and heating are managed by a Nest Thermostat. It's important not to set the AC below 68 degrees to prevent potential damage to the system, such as freezing pipes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Pets: Pets are welcome with approval and an additional one-time fee. Please clean up after your pet in the unit and backyard. Pets must be crate-trained and crated when left alone in the unit. Excessive barking will result in reservation cancellation without refund. Pets are not allowed on furniture, especially sofas and beds.

Mail & Trash: No mail/packages are allowed to be sent to the unit. Long-term guests can have packages mailed with prior approval, but regular mail is not permitted and will be returned without notice. Dumpsters are in the alley on the side of the building.

Parking: Ample free street parking available. Please observe street sweeping signs.

Laundry: Use of the laundry room is provided for our registered guests only. Persons not residing in an apartment are not allowed the use of these facilities.
- DO NOT overload the machines or put an excessive amount of laundry detergent.
- DO NOT leave unattended clothes in the machines or in the laundry room.

After using the machines, empty the lint screen, wipe off the machines and clean up any mess you have made. If you have any breakdowns or any problems with the machines, please contact management.

TV & Furniture: Smart TV has Netflix and Hulu included, no cable provided. Please do not move furniture without prior approval.

Wifi: Wifi is included with your stay and is provided by a Nest Mesh system. DO NOT unplug the wifi extenders (round white puck devices) as that will disrupt the wifi for your unit and the rest of the building.

Perishables: Some consumables may be provided; check expiration dates. Guests are responsible for inspecting and consuming provided items.

Okay but could be better

The photos in the listing were not quite accurate. The armchair in the photo of the living room was not there giving less places to sit. The water pressure in the upstairs shower was very poor and unusable. A lot of basics (soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc.) were not provided and had to purchased by us. The towels that were provided did not smell clean and had to be rewashed. The owner was very attentive to our needs. A plumber was sent to see if anything could be done about the water pressure and the owner provided us with fresh towels.

Location, location, location

The location is great if you love the ambiance of an old world feel, brick sidewalks, historic farmers market and bars on every corner. Location is undesirable if you don’t like bars on every corner, uneven brick sidewalks, and older buildings.

Awesome house

My son is a student at SLU med school. Him and his roommate stayed at the house for 4 weeks until they could move into their apartment. All the lease dates start based on SLU undergrad. So we needed to find a safe and convenient location. Highly recommend this house. House has a lot of steep stairs ( noted in listing) so you must be able to climb several flights. Owner was so responsive when we msg.

Lively downtown life

The atmosphere of the area was so cool! We loved the area! The house was great, super clean, had everything we needed and some! Property owner was awesome with communication and answered any questions we had almost immediately! We will definitely be staying again!!

Fun place for night owls

The apartment was spacious and conveniently located. Soulard is a fun neighborhood. Like the listing states, it does get noisy when the bar next door stays open late, but we couldn’t hear noise from the other occupants of the building. The entrance stairs and steps to the upstairs are steep if you have mobility issues or pack heavy. The check in process was easy and the host is readily available for questions you might have.
