Blue Dolphin, formerly "The Boat House" on Great Cruz bay road is a newly rebuilt 5 bedroom home. The house has been remodeled and rebuilt and is a charming mix of the old stonework associated with the Caribbean and modern design with glass railings and a new pool. The first thing you notice when arriving to the house is the lush landscaping and outdoor gazebo in the garden. Whether you are a nature lover or just escaping to do some reading you'll love this outdoor seating area.

You enter the house into the living room and notice the open floor plan into the dining and kitchen area with extra seating areas.

4 bedrooms are on the main level and all can be accessed under one roof. The bedrooms are spacious have queen beds and are elegantly furnished.

A brand new master bedroom makes up the 5th bedroom. This room can be accessed privately off of the driveway or walking across the outdoor deck area. This room is very spacious and includes a gorgeous bathroom with shower. The spectacular views can be seen through the massive sliding glass doors. It also has it's own private deck area with seating. Also included in this room is it's own TV with an area for coffee and tea.

My favorite part of Blue Dolphin is the large deck on the west side of the house that has glass railing to maximize the views. It has 2 large covered areas for lounging or eating at the outside dining area. The new gas grill is ready for you! It has a very large open area for sunbathing and watching the sunset next to the pool as well.

The indoor dining area is right off the kitchen and the two family room areas. The indoor and outdoor areas mesh well together and whether you are inside in the air conditioning or outside on the deck, you will still feel very together.

The kitchen has been updated to include a beautiful Wolf stove where you may not only cook your favorite meals but also grill your favorite steaks or seafood. A gorgeous island has been included with granite counter top and seating. Also , included in the kitchen is a large ice maker next to the sink along with a pantry area that houses spices, coffee, an expresso machine and blender.

Next, underneath the new master bedroom is a brand new exercise room that includes an elliptical, treadmill ,bike, weight station and pool table.

The entire house has mini split air conditioners that will keep everyone comfortable while hanging around the house.

Host (Dwight) was incredible! He could not have been better. We felt comfortable reaching out to him and he was swift and informative in his responses. The house was wonderful. Views spectacular. Pool perfect for the kids and (adults too). Kitchen well stocked and bedrooms were comfortable. Especially the newly renovated bedroom. Would easily come back to this house.

We had a fantastic stay at the Blue Dolphin. The owners were lovely, very responsive, and clearly put a lot of thought into the design of the house. The house itself is located on Cruz Bay with gorgeous sunset views from the pool deck, a well-stocked kitchen, beautiful indoor and outdoor common areas, and spacious bedrooms. The property manager was very accommodating, he coordinated with a rental company we hired to have a crib set up before our arrival, met us from the ferry to show us how to get to the house, and immediately addressed a few small issues with the house.This was our first trip to St. John and we absolutely loved it - beautiful beaches with crystal-clear, calm, shallow waters, easily accessible snorkeling, interesting hikes, and abundant wildlife. If you’re thinking about booking this trip and this house do it!

Perfect vacation soot

My family and I loved every minute of our stay. There were times it was too good to be true….arrived to find a deer in the side garden with the flowering trees, woke up the next morning to a double rainbow over the bay and hummingbirds outside the kitchen window. The property manager was super responsive, met us at the house, and showed us around the place. The view is spectacular, the pool gets plenty of sun all day, and the outside area has plenty of seating in the sun and shade. The house was clean and comfy and plenty of room for us all. Would definitely stay again!

Blue Dolphin

We stayed here for a spring break get away. We were very pleased with the house. The location is perfect for it's proximity to Cruz Bay and the norther beaches. Everything looked like it did in the listing. Dwight, the property manager,was there to greet us upon arrival and show us around the house. Through out the week he checked in, and gave us updates on the power outages the island was experiencing which was very helpful. The house was well stocked, had an icemaker, AND a flat driveway. If you have been to St. John before you know what I am talking about. We would definitely stay at the Blue Dolphin again.

Paradise!

Amazing home with an amazing view and location. So close to Cruz Bay and easy access to Windmill and other less visited spots. Property manger was responsive and welcoming. Home has picturesque sunset views with a perfect poolAnd enormous veranda. Kitchen is huge and easy to cook meals each night. It’s a home run.

Excellent stay at The Blue Dolphin

We had a fantastic stay in St. John at The Blue Dolphin. We were celebrating milestone birthdays for my 40-year old son and 70- year old husband. We had eight in our party. The villa was very accommodating with plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the fantastic views. The pool was a big hit with the grandchildren. The villa was exceptionally well stocked with plenty of spices for cooking and all paper products were supplied, and ample toiletries and laundry products. Groceries are very expensive on St. John so beware of that. The only negative I can say about the villa is that there are no closets in the bedrooms but there are plenty of hooks for hanging dresses, and ample dresser drawer space for folded clothes. The property manager was amazing and most kind. He arranged to meet us in town and escorted us to the property and explained all the nuances of the house. All in all, I’d highly recommend renting this lovely villa for a great family getaway .

Dolphin Villa Feb 2025

We had a great stay in February 2025. The patio and pool looking over Great Cruz bay and out towards St. Thomas was fantastic. Beautiful sunsets every day! The house layout was great for us. 4 bedrooms on the main level and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room were nicely stocked. My only advice point would be use bug spray! This is more of an environmental thing than about this villa but our family did struggle a lot with no-see-um bites. But we were outside and at the beaches nearly every day. So book this place and don’t forget to use your reef safe sunscreen and bug spray!

We had an amazing stay at the dolphin villa! Dwight the property manager was extremely helpful and attentive. The location of the house was perfect, just about 10 mins to downtown. The pool/back patio was our favorite part of the stay!

Great location and beautiful house

We had 2 couples to enjoy the Blue Dolphin for 5 nights. The property manager, JP, was very accomodating and helpful when one of our couples had a travel delay. JP was a gracious host that made us feel at home immediately. The house is wonderful and the infinity edge pool is perfect. Grill worked well and the kitchen is well stocked. AC worked well and the drive to the house is easy compared to many on St. John! Easy access to the Westin where a number of boat charters operate out of. Would book here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful views, great location spacious home!

Stayed here for a week in May for a family get away. The house is gorgeous with plenty of room inside and out. We found the kitchen to be very adequate for cooking meals and the ice maker was a great bonus. The property manager JP was quick to get us checked in and to respond to any inquiries. The sunsets are amazing especially while floating in the infinity pool. The location is close to cruise bay but not walking distance. We rented a jeep for the week as we wanted to explore the entire island. We will be sure to book this home again next time we are in St. John!

Great House!!

Our family of 5 came for spring break and had an amazing time!! The house was great and was absolutely as advertised. Close enough to town to be easily accessed but just far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. Would absolutely recommend.

Beautiful Spot

The house has a beautiful view and gorgeous deck with Infinity pool. The four bedrooms had comfortable beds and dressers. One thing I wasn’t prepared for was the absence of closets in bedrooms (or anywhere). When staying for a week, we have a fair amount of clothes to hang up, so the cute hooks on the walls weren’t sufficient. Other than that, beautiful house!

Stunning Villa

This is our second visit to St. John and love the island vibe. The villa is absolutely beautiful! The outdoor patio/pool/view is stunning and the pool is warm! The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed. The extra ice machine was a bonus! The villa was so comfortable and nice option to have A/C available throughout entire villa vs just bedrooms. Nice touches throughout and would definitely stay here again. Spectacular!!

We will never forget our 1st vacation to St. John and our stay at the Blue Dolphin. This home was perfect for our family. We spent many hours swimming in the pool and enjoying the spectacular views and sunsets over Cruz Bay. The use of their beach chairs, snorkeling gear and coolers were an added bonus. As was the ice machine in the kitchen! Brian and Callie are gracious hosts and incredibly responsive. JP (the property manager) gave us amazing recommendations. We are already dreaming of our next trip back!

Blue Dolphin Bliss!!

Blue Dolphin Villa was superb in every aspect! Clean, well-furnished, beautiful grounds and the WOW infinity pool overlooking Great Cruz Bay! Loved the old decor mixed in with the new design! The kitchen was well stocked with whatever would be needed to cook a gourmet meal including a variety of cookware and two stove tops! The ice machine was a surprise bonus and was greatly appreciated! Three bathrooms with showers were more than adequate for our group. The property is very easy to get to and although we had a jeep we frequently used Kedija Prentice taxi and she was very dependable. JP, the villa manager, and owners were quick to respond with whatever questions we had- in short they were great hosts! We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic house. Would definitely stay again!

The pool was great. The whole house was great. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The only issue was the water pressure was really slow. Might just be an island thing but could only take one shower at a time.
