Del Cielo - A delightful, sunny, fun vacation at Reef View Pavilion Villas in Grenada.

Del Cielo is a rustic adobe style contemporary 4 bedroom/4 bathroom luxury sea view condo located at the Grenada Villa Resort, Reef View Pavilions, in Lance aux Epines, St. George's. It sleeps from 2 to 8 guests comfortably. There is access to two refreshing pools. A small neighborhood beach is a short walk away.
Outdoors and Setting
Del Cielo is situated on the third or uppermost floor of the building yet only 3 steps up to access from the parking area. The elevation allows for sweet, invigorating Caribbean breezes, brilliant natural light throughout the day, and unobstructed, peaceful views of the neighborhood and the nearby bay.
Positioned directly above the glistening lagoon style pool with magnificent Fox Tail and African Oil palm trees rising up to the verandah, the condo’s many windows keep guests connected and alive with the vibrant yet tranquil surrounds. The sights, sounds, and feelings from flowing water surround the apartment – with the rooftop pool, the swimming pool below, and the nearby neighborhood beach in view. The more you take in the pools and bay from inside and around the condo, the better. The omnipresence of water provides such dramatic points of interest on the property. The water also beautifully reflects the sky, the hillsides, and tropical vegetation.
Generous outdoor living areas from which to stage your daily vacation activities are provided.
The lower courtyard grounds offers our free-form lagoon style pool. It’s definitely not your usual backyard pool scene. Its organic shapes, colours, and materials will take you to another frame of mind…Caribbean-style living. Fully grown palm trees rise from rounded islands within and on the smooth, undulating edges of the pool. The multiple shallow areas are great for even the smallest kids to wade and play or for adults to sip a drink, float or walk around in the water. The deeper part is great for swimming and splashing. On the shore of the lagoon pool, concrete surface interspersed with various hues of tiny river stones create an outdoor carpet underneath your bare feet to keep you in touch and anchored to our lovely natural setting.
On the rooftop, our raised perch allows you to take in the spectacular views of shimmering bays and Grenada’s lush, tropical landscape. A beautiful, Spanish-style ramada covered with cool clay roof tiles is open sided yet provides shade and protection from the elements. Underneath the shade structure is a huge outdoor dining table in a Fleur de Lis shape, full size mahogany day bed, built in adobe style seating areas, and a barbeque area with sink and countertop space make this area a perfect spot to spend a vacation day, every day! In front of the ramada is a 50 foot long pool with built in seating – great for keeping cool under the sunny Caribbean sky with your favorite drink in hand. This rooftop pool is about 3 feet deep so the entire family can enjoy safely. An uncovered lounge area with sun chairs and built in daybeds is the spot to work on your tan. Two outdoor showers and toilet complete the rooftop lounge. From this setting, the turquoise waters of the bay with its coral reef outcroppings, sleepy yachts, and faint beach sounds frame an array of sensory stimulants such as cool orange-brown clay roof and floor tiles, colorful Talavera tile accents, vibrant paints, tinted glass inserts along the view-side rails, variegated palm-like pandanus, purple and red bougainvillea, and swaying palm fronds on the fringes. These delights will keep you in the mood for fun, relaxation and vacation-style living.

Avoid this listing!

We had a TERRIBLE experience. The photos on VRBO of our 4 -bedroom suite and the common areas looked charming and clean with a rustic adobe vibe, but we found the property dirty and unmaintained. Property does not reflect the price point we paid. Property is part of “Reef View Pavilions.” Our issues included: Black mold in the washing machine, musty smell throughout, issues with toilets, very low water pressure in the showers/sinks, showers were stained and gross, cracked window in shower, kitchen sink had no hot water, owner’s dog barking woke us up multiple times in the night, mattresses were hard as rocks, bugs throughout (ants in the couch), pool areas are rundown and dirty. (Rooftop pool not safe: loose light fixture, hanging in the pool w/o light bulb. It also had cracked tiles with sharp edges. Pool area had exposed rusty screws.) Drive up to our unit parking space was steep and VERY narrow.

Charming and Unique

Six of us thoroughly enjoyed our weeks' stay at Del Cielo. The property is whimsically delightful and the owners, Anthon and Sharon were excellent hosts. The unit is very spacious, with large bedrooms and common area. The king beds were also greatly appreciated. We loved the Spanish style design and the gorgeous pool area. It is located about 15 minutes from Grand Anse and the best beaches and there are also several decent restaurants nearby, as well as a market. In addition to being a most personable host, Sharon was extremely responsive to any requests we had. Highly recommend!

Close to many venues.

We had a lovely time staying in Lance Aux Épines. Our hosts Sharon and Anthon were very attentive to our needs. The accommodations were a bit rustic and it was a challenge cooking a meal with limited and damaged kitchenware, but the grill on the top floor worked fine. Beautiful views from the rooftop and a small beach at end of the road- need water shoes to swim because of sea urchins. The pools were clean and well-maintained. Upstairs and downstairs pools are both common areas. There were plenty of towels. The location was close to markets, beaches, and restaurants.

Reef View Pavillon - Great Location

Reef View Pavillon is in a great location, close to all the best beaches. Two outdoor pools and space for groups to lounge and cookout. There is a terrific wine shop/Meat Market/Boulangerie (Le Boucher) in Prickly Bay Marina, just minutes from the property. Sharon is a wonderful host! We had a great time!

A wonderful place to stay

My family had a great experience with this host and property. It is currently under development and is likely to get even better and time goes by. It's in a quiet and protected neighborhood but is still relatively close to town. I do recommend renting a car. While not perfect, the issues we had during our stay were really minor and are likely to be encountered wherever one chooses to stay (for example one of the air conditioners in our unit began to act up). Water pressure, for example, is another issue one will encounter throughout Lance Aux Epines. Our host was immediately responsive whenever we asked for help, and she made sure to make suggestions re restaurants and local attractions when we arrived. *Highly recommended*

Quiet Getaway

We happened upon this great place by accident when the house we were to stay in cancelled at the last minute. It is a place of paradise with beautiful pools and so quiet. Sharon was very helpful with everything we needed and the villa was gorgeous. Looking forward to a return trip.

Stay here!

Sharon and Anthon were fantastic hosts. They provided a one way pickup from the airport to the property, contact info for transportation in the area as well as supermarket/restaurant recommendations. They were readily available to answer any questions we had. The 3ft pool upstairs overlooked a beach and the view is breath taking

Wow! This Place is Goegeous

We absolutely loved our stay in Del Cielo. It’s such a beautiful and eye-pleasing environment. Sharon was delightful to work with and made sure we had what we needed. We gave it a 3 star rating for a few reasons. We had a couple of cockroaches and some ants for which we had to spray. It’s the Caribbean, so that’s going to happen sometimes. Also, there was construction going on, which began early in the morning, making it difficult to sleep in, but we were gone during the day, so that was ok. That said, the construction will be a wonderful addition when it is finished. Some of the shower drains were slow to empty and should be cleaned out. These are small things that can be remedied. We will absolutely stay here again when we visit Grenada, we liked it that much.

Great property for the price, views and proximity to the University and beaches

We were visiting our Daughter for her White Coat Ceremony at St. George's University. The location allowed us to use the Universities bus system to easily get around. We rented one complete unit with 4 bedrooms and had 9 guests. Plenty of room for everyone. The bonus of the peaceful rooftop deck with beautiful bay views and pool made it even better. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and wares even for our large group. The Staff was extremely friendly. Sharon, the Property Manager, was available to answer any questions. Maid service was provided every two days along with fresh linens. We will definitely rent Del Cielo again when we return.
