"I’ve stayed here many times for business and the breakfast is always good and the rooms always clean. I was here for 6 nights which has been my longest stay. What was really noticeable over a longer period was how EVERY staff member was so polite, helpful and friendly. "

"The hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that left a mark was the bed, it was quite uncomfortable because it was not a double bed but one that was made up for two out of a single and what seemed to be a sort of pull out bed. That was the only minor thing during what was otherwise a lovely stay!! We did highlight to staff and hopefully they will upgrade the bed. Thank you to the staff who were brilliant !!!"

"Room was lovely, but the mattress was obviously old as it sagged in the middle. The hotel is right on a main road so a lot of noise and music playing till very late in the evening. It’s ok for an overnight stay but wouldn’t recommend longer"

"Hotel was like a building site for the whole of our romantic break. Toymaster 2026 event preparation took over the entire hotel . Also, there was a parking charge of £18/night hidden in the smallprint; nearby street parking only £12 for 24 hours!"

"It was a beautiful stay! The only downside was that the lift wasn’t working and they put us on the top floor with my mom having a disability so it was difficult for her to do all those stairs."

"We were allowed to check in before 3.00pm as we arrived early. The room was clean but very dated and the furniture was old and shabby. The room carper was threadbare in places. Shower was OK once we got it work. The whole building looked tired and in need of alot if work. "Absolutely loved our stay. Check-in was simple, staff were helpful and the hotel has clearly been renovated recently to a high standard. Breakfast was up there with the best I've ever had in a hotel. Also cracking view over the town and beyond from the Skybar in which the breakfast was served.
