Romantic historical residence with large panoramic terrace and breathtaking sunsets

In a 17th century building, the property, which is accessed through a suggestive entrance, is enhanced by a large, furnished level terrace which opens onto the wide valley overlooked by Spoleto, Assisi, Bastia Umbra, Bevagna, Castel Ritaldi , Trevi, Montefalco and Perugia.
The residence, whose vaulted ceilings give romantic and welcoming atmospheres, is embellished with refined furnishings, is characterized by a large and particular colonnaded lounge with double sofa bed, dining table, open kitchen equipped with everything needed for a quality culinary 'do it yourself' (dishwasher, microwave and electric oven) which gives direct access to the terrace. A large double bedroom and a bathroom with shower complete the charming offer.
Outside there is also a small laundry room with sink and washing machine.
We are eco-friendly ... At Belvedere the electricity is 100% from renewable sources! :-)

Excellent location, it’s a short walk (some uphill - wear a sturdy shoe) from free parking. There is easy access to hiking trails - a beautiful hike along the aqueduct to Collepino and back to Spello, and a trail to Assisi. We had a bit of rain so didn’t get to do the Assisi hike. There are good restaurants and bars a short walk into the city center. Cantine di Spello was a highlight- make a reservation in advance. The apartment is just as described and the view from the terrace is stunning. There is an outer street door to unlock before proceeding down a ramped walkway to the apartment. It felt very secure inside this area. The apartment is equipped with everything needed for either a quick stop or a long stay. The owner has helpful hints posted around the place - helpful reminders for using appliances and such.I was confused about the checkout- it says final cleaning included but we should clean the bathroom and kitchen. It may have been a translation error on my part. My only suggestion is to wear sturdy shoes - the stone outside of the apartment door was slick with moss - I slid a few times when wearing a block heel boot to go to dinner.

The apartment is beautiful and I love the curved brick ceilings. Nice view of the surrounding area and a good size terrace to relax in. Manuela was very welcoming and did an excellent job of explaining all the features of the home. Easy walk into the heart of Spello. Love the town and the apartment - it was an excellent week for us!

The apartment was everything we expected, lots of character with beautiful views. Unfortunately because of the time of year we were there, we didn’t take advantage of the patio due to the temps being low. Our host Manuela went above and beyond looking after us. My wife unfortunately got sick during our stay there and Manuela dropped off homemade soup, that was delicious. Not the only thoughtful thing she did for us. We loved Spello and all it had to offer and the apartment was a treat to come back to every day.

Manuela was an incredible host! Her property in Spello is gorgeous, and truly one of a kind. If you are looking for a romantic stay in a truly local Italian town with friendly people, fanatic food and amazing wine, then this is your place.

The appartment was perfectly located - on the edge of Spello, so very quiet, but within a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. The appartment was full of character and the view high up from the terrace was spectacular. Perfect for a leisurely brunch. Manuela met us on arrival and gave us a very wsrm welcome and provided helpful information about our accommodation and Spello. She was excellent at communicating with us before and during our stay. Spello is a really beautiful place - a real gem, and a great centre for exploring the local area. Assisi is a short drive away (go early to avoid the crowds) and there are spectacular views from Mount Subasio, good walking too. We would happily return. Thank you Manuela.

This was a magical place. This was our favourite by far. Manuel’s is the sweetest host and was full of information. It has everything you need. We miss that view of Spello. It’s super private and quiet. We will be back

AMAZING STAY!

Honestly we were so happy with our stay in this gorgeous home in Spello. I have no doubt that if we return to Italy, we will return to Spello and hopefully stay here again. The view from the patio was unreal and the accommodation itself was very charming. Our check in process was great, the host was so lovely with showing us around and getting us settled in. We could not recommend this stay enough.

A charming hidden gem...put this on your MUST STAY list!

I'm having trouble finding the words to describe our stay! The location is breathtaking, the residence was so full of history and charm. Manuela had everything you could ask for to have the perfect stay. She was also a wealth of information about the area, where to eat, shop, explore. The view...amazing. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Stay in Spello

This is a nicely located accommodation near a number of historic buildings, the Medievel city wall, the Roman acqueduct, and several monasteries. The views from the house and garden were breath taking. The furnishings were very comfortable and interesting with an artisitic flare. There was lots of room, while quiet and private, yet conveniently located. We would love to return here on our next trip to Spello..

The right spot

I’m quite picky when I choose places. This was a good pick. There is plenty of space, the outdoor area is perfect, the location was superb. The bathroom is small, but so was every bathroom that we stayed in while in Italy, even high end hotels. Manuela, so kindly met us late at night to show us our accommodation and made sure that all of our questions were answered. I hope to go back.

Wonderful property, beautiful town, great host

This was a wonderful place to stay. The property was really well presented, has wonderful views, clean, quiet and has everything you could need. The location well positioned to explore Spello and also access our car. There was free car parking close to the property outside the ZTL. The host, Manuela, made us feel so welcome. She was friendly, helpful, very responsive and provided great information to get the most out of our visit. Manuela even invited to participate in the petal picking with the locals in preparation for Infiorata (Festival of Flowers). We definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay

We had a major flight delay and inability to reach hostess due to cell phone issues. She patiently waited for us and warmly welcomed us despite our 4 hour late arrival/inability to communicate with her. We entered this beautifully, appointed flat with the best Western view of Spello/Umbrian plain for our 8 day stay. The location was perfect! We walked to restaurants/grocery stores etc every day. We purchased fresh fruit and vegetables at the market. We enjoyed being on the top of Spello. The aqueduct hike to Collopino was great! We did have a car and made day trips to Assisi, Orvieto and surrounding area. Don’t miss the Spello mosaic museum. Beautiful area and lovely rental. We enjoyed our stay.

Unique Accommodation, Gorgeous Umbria

Greeted by host upon arrival? who helped with luggage and explained the ins and outs of the property and neighborhood. Very gracious and warm welcome. Apartment is fabulous, in ancient building, kind of like a stone hobbit cottage, very quiet, private and safe. Just delightful.

There is no way there is a better rental experience within 100 miles. The most beautiful view and unbelievably stunning apartment. Perfect for 2. Wouldn’t recommend it for more than 2. Manuela was so pleasant and very helpful.

Enchanting Medieval Village

Perfect location at the top of the village with amazing views. Hostess Manuela was friendly with brilliant English and a great sense of humour. Due to thickness of the walls the rooms were cool even in the 40oC heat. A fan would be useful for that excessive temperature to ensure circulation of air. Terrace has afternoon sun so is hot. Love Spello and it’s inhabitants. Great place to stay

We had such an amazing time in Spello. The apartment was more beautiful than the pictures and the sunsets we experienced on the terrace were breathtaking!!! Spello magic

What a magical place Spello is, and this property must be one of the best. The patio is huge with wonderful views over the valley and towards Perugia. If you are unlucky enough to have poor weather, the inside is also a good size, but we spent very little time there. We were in Spello with another couple staying nearby, and we frequently used the grill to dine together with the view - plenty of room for that, although the restaurants are also excellent. Manuela and Antonio were super helpful and speak excellent English. They live nearby, so were always available if we needed anything. We certainly hope to return.

Large Terrace with Spectaclular Views

Comfortable apartment with a large private terrace and spectacular views. Directions were difficult to follow and we had to have the property manager meet us and actually direct us to the piazza near the apartment so we could unload our luggage and then find available parking outside the walls of the town. The location inside the walls of old Spello had pluses such as proximity to amenities such as restaurants and historical ambience but also a negative regarding distance to and availability of parking. The shower was a bare minimum curtain enclosing a small area with poor drainage in front of the bidet and a pallet style platform to elevate you off the floor of the bathroom. During the weekdays there was undisclosed construction going on next door with a very noisy tile saw making an incredible racket and making it impossible to enjoy the terrace while the construction noise was occurring. After notifying the property manager of the noise, he spoke to the owner of the property and the work was limited to beginning after 8 am and since we were usually gone in the later morning and afternoon, it remediated the issue for us. We really appreciated the small notes left throughout the apartment by Manuela to provide advice/information regarding the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the apartment and the property managers, Anthony and Manuela, were pleasant and responsive to our requests and I would not hesitate to return in the future and highly recommend the property for location and ambience.
