Whether you're a surfer, a sunbather, or a kiteboarder-in-training, this quaint condo is a wonderful destination for small families in search of sun, sand, and serene relaxation. Take an afternoon nap in the warmth of the sunshine, browse the wireless Internet, or catch your favorite show on the flatscreen cable TV. Pull up a seat to the bar counter to help with the cooking, or relax with a newspaper and a cup of coffee at the small indoor dining table for two. But as the sun comes up each morning, step outside on the private balcony to gaze east across the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy an al fresco breakfast at the patio table for four, or watch the kids play on the grassy lawn below. And you'll return home to find a beautifully landscaped terrace, a refreshing outdoor pool, and a communal picnic area with a charcoal grill.

Ideally located in the charming La Playa condo complex of 20 beachfront condos, this bright and comfortable home is mere steps from the Gulf of Mexico. It's also an easy walk or a free shuttle ride to local restaurants, shopping, bars and nightclubs, and recreational outfitters. Thanks to the island's year-round warm weather, it's never a bad day to borrow a boogie board from the HOA and spend the day splashing in the turquoise Gulf waves. Spend the day on an eco-tour, gazing at the local dolphins, or charter a fishing boat to search for plentiful red snapper, grouper, and kingfish. You'll also be just two miles north of Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark, where you'll find 13 indoor and outdoor waterslides on 25 acres of beachfront property.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this property over 2 years, and was disappointed to see that there were no improvements made over that year. The bath leaks when you shower, some dishes/cups are chipped, the beds and bedding are VERY uncomfortable and the air conditioning doesn't blow into one of the bedrooms well at all. My biggest complaint was that there was human blood on the roll of toilet paper, we discarded that roll and messaged the property manager for a replacement, to which we were told no. They leave 2 rolls initially (for a 4 night stay) and it is our responsibility to replenish. Even after texting back and forth for several hours, they still did not believe it was their responsibility to replace, so I had to go to the grocery store and purchase toilet paper on my own (in addition to facial tissue, which was also not provided). I will NOT be staying here again.

Upon checking in we advised Vacasa that the round coffee table in front of the couch was missing the glass top. We noted that this had been reported in prior reviews back in November. No action was taken after our initial report so we contacted Vacasa two more times. Still no action , so I had to get angry when contacting them again. They showed up that evening around 5pm, unannounced , with a rectangular piece of pane glass while we were visiting our friends by the pool. It would have been a safety hazard to place this rectangular piece of glass on the round table. How hard would it have been to order the correct piece of glass for this table back in November, or go to a second hand shop and buy a coffee table? Very disappointed with Vacasa. Suggest the owner of this condo find someone other than Vacasa to manage their property.

The furniture and property was quite dated. We also noticed roaches within the condo itself. Our attempts to address this with the property management company vacasa and come to an agreeable solution were unsatisfactory. Would not book anything with Vacasa again or recommend this property. You should look up vacasa reviews through the better business bereau, they are terrible.

We enjoyed the affordable condo with the beautiful view. So happy to be able to bring my elderly dogs, as the Grounds were spacious and beautiful. The bedrooms we're good size however having darker window coverings would be preferable as the LED lit porches are bright. Condo was supplied with everything we needed and we had a great time.

We only needed to sleep and shower there. The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean. The water pressure left a lot to be desired. I couldn’t get the shampoo out of my hair. Instructions for the tv remote would be nice. The outside balcony table and chairs could use a good scrubbing.

The listing says washer/dryer yes there is one on the property it is not in the condo. The lights outside are terrible for sleeping. Very nice people in the complex. Heated pool was very nice. We lost power our last night not that anyone could do anything but sure put a bummer on our stay

Unit was very clean. Just a few minor areas need improvement. The bathtub leaks out on the floor. Sliding glass door handle very lose. Property well lighted at night time, however the outdoor lights are right outside the bedroom windows. Recommend room darkening curtains. The location to beach is great and the view was fabulous. The property grounds plants and flowers were beautiful.

I’d give this condo 5 stars except for one aspect. However, the location is fantastic, view is amazing, office staff is friendly, complex is clean and quiet, and the beach in front is no where near as crowded as elsewhere. The downside is that it is not well stocked. It has all of the dishes, towels, paper towels and toilet paper you could need. What it lacks (which was a letdown for us, as we use rentals for this perk alone) is kitchen essentials. There are no pantry staples beyond salt and pepper. No oil to cook with. No starter coffee for your first morning after you get situated. No tin foil. Nothing. We had one garbage bag and it was overflowing when we took out the trash. The listing does not say that they provide any of these items, it is just something we had taken for granted with prior listings. I’d never (personally) think about bringing foil with me to a rental, or garbage bags. There were also no wipes or spray to clean anything if we needed (we have kids, so I like to clean their messes). No functioning vacuum to help with sand. The amount of supplies I’d need to bring in to make this more than a quick weekend stop would not make it worth it for us. The property, like I said, is fantastic. If you like to, or plan to eat out every meal, this is ideal. We will look for a better equipped unit on our next visit.

The location of this condo is perfect. Truly wonderful. However, the grounds need some work, and the condo itself is old and tired looking. The vacuum doesn't work, the broom is mashed so trying to stay ahead of sand is nearly impossible. The toilet was not stable...it rocked as you sat. The constant drilling from the construction project did us in. When we go on vacation and spend money like we did here, we hoped for a fresh, comfortable, relaxing and fun looking condo. This is not it.
