You won't find a better balcony on the island! Two oversized balconies (600+ sq ft) plus an additional large landing off the front door provide nearly 300-degree views of the island from Inverness #901! Enjoy the sunrise in the morning with your coffee from the large balcony overlooking the ocean. Enjoy the sunset from either the wraparound balcony or the front patio balcony, all very private as this is a corner unit. This condo is perfect for a quiet, peaceful vacation from the stress of life.

All three bedrooms have amazing views: the master has a spectacular ocean view, the other bedrooms offer a view of the bay and city. Master has a brand new King size Beautyrest pillow-top mattress and box springs. Other places you are considering to stay won't be nearly as comfortable! The modern kitchen was renovated in 2019 with granite countertops, white cabinets, and brand new stainless steel appliances including refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. It is fully functional and stocked with essentials such as plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, toaster, blender, etc. The two bathrooms were also recently renovated and include granite countertops and white cabinets. The master bedroom has a TV and lounge chair and is attached to the master bathroom offering privacy and a large, walk-in shower. The other bathroom offers a large countertop and a combination bathtub/shower. The living room is spacious and has a couch with a queen-size sleeper mattress. The condo is packed with all of the essentials you need for your vacation including a 50” 4k TV and Sony Ultra-High Disc player (plays 4k UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD) to enjoy movie time as a family. Free WiFi. On-site laundry facility on the same floor as the condo.

The Inverness 901 condo is a large (1360 sq ft) corner unit at the Inverness (which means “peace in the wilderness”). Outside you will find a gorgeous swimming pool and 2 hot tubs (1 is Adults only) which are located on the 3rd floor offering amazing views of the ocean! Walking distance to some of the island's best restaurants, pubs & beachfront bar: Wanna-Wanna Beach Bar & Grill, Kelly's Irish Pub, the Coral Reef Lounge, and Parrot Eyes. For other restaurants and bars simply jump on the Island Metro Trolley free of charge with pickup right in front of the condo! Less than 1 mile to popular island activities such as the Sea Turtle Inc. and the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center. Beach access is extremely easy. 30 feet away. Or, you can explore amazing sand dunes and even drive your car on the beach if you head north for about 5 minutes. 1 covered parking spot available in the parking garage floors 1 & 2 which is connected to the condo and accessible via the elevator. Parking in front of the building is also available in case of an additional car.

Each reservation is provided with a STARTER KIT of essentials ONLY (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, shampoo/conditioner, dish soap, laundry detergent, coffee & filters, olive oil, and salt & pepper). Depending on the number of guests in your party and/or the length of your stay, these may not last for the duration of your reservation and you may need to purchase additional items on your own. Please also note that the following items are not universally provided or guaranteed to be in the home, and therefore, we recommend that you bring these items if required to make your stay more enjoyable: condiments and spices, cleaning wipes, bottled water, hair dryer, ice & cooler, beach towels, beach chairs, toys, floats, sun lotion/sun block, extra blankets and pillows, pack-n-play, high chair, stroller, baby gates, and/or first aid kit.

Perfect!

The condo was perfect for our group. Large and spacious. Very clean and had everything you'd need including all the kitchen utensils you'll need. They even supplied some S&P and cooking oil. Very nice touch. This condo is probably one of the best we've stayed in in the 10+ years we've been coming to SPI. Management company was very communicative and easy to deal with. We'll be staying here again for sure.

Great spring break trip

Took the family to SPI for the first time and loved it! Great, quiet location with easy beach access. Amazing views! We even happened to be in town for Space X launch and watched from the balcony, although the beach would have been even better. Nice condo for a relaxing getaway.

The unit and location is great, and neighbors are friendly. The only issue is the smell in the master bath shower. It may be sewer or what's behind the tile, which has quite a bit of grout missing.

Spring Break 2023

Area of condo was perfect and views were gorgeous. We would stay here again. There was a couple things that would have made the stay a little smoother. There was an issue with the keyfob needed to park and use the private entrance to the beach. SPI said Iverness had it, Iverness said SPI had it. SPI said they would find out where it was and call me back, but I didnt get a return call. If you stay, make sure they give you one. In the end, we ended up getting a loaner keyfob from the Iverness desk. Washer / dryer is a shared set for the building. It worked well, but costs $3.25 to do a load. So, take quarters if you plan to use them. Kitchen was stocked with everything except coffee cups. We honestly had a great stay and would stay again. Giving 4 stars only because I was frustrated with the handling of the keyfob.

SPI Stay

Getting information from SPI before the trip was like pulling teeth. They didn’t tell us about going right to the condo until I kept asking questions. They gave me incorrection information about getting from the airport to S Padre so we didn’t have transportation. Luckily there was a taxi van at the airport that would accommodate all of us. The condo smelled and we had to keep the doors open at all times.

Great beach condo

The condo was nice and the beach was beautiful. However, the access to the pool was sketchy at best. You have to use a key fob, but you only get one. So, if you want to return to the room but others want to stay at the pool, you have to have them let you out and back in. But if you take the fob with you and leave others at the pool, they can't get out until you come back. It seemed like an emergency disaster waiting to happen. There were no kitchen towels and scratchy hotel towels for the bathroom. The twin beds were not comfortable. The kitchen, living room, and bathrooms were really nice. The balcony was worth the price.

Wish I could give ZERO stars

Parking is horrible if you drive a truck. Bring fans bc this place has no ceiling fans or overhead lights. The worst part was the smell! Every time you take a shower, it smells like a sewer. After a few days, it ALWAYS smelled like a sewer, so we had to go! They gave us another place, but it wasn’t oceanfront, and while they did compensate us for the difference, our vacation was already RUINED.

Great room and view but needs better maintenance.

The room was nice, clean, and as advertised. However the bathroom ceiling started leaking after a strong storm, causing large water filled bubbles in the paint. Notified front desk but management email was undeliverable. Elevators were inoperable during most of our stay. Great location, views, parking, etc. Just needed better maintenance.

Pros and Cons but Worth the Stay if You Plan Ahead.

Pros and cons here but if you are prepared in advance, overall a decent place. Pros-has a pool and hot tub, and a separate jacuzzi for adults. Fabulous views and decent beach especially if you like to walk or bike for miles. Comfy sofa, chairs, beds, control of AC which worked well, Functional kitchen and appliances with most everything you need. Laundry areas on at least 3 floors. Booking through VRBO was easy. Friendly desk people at SPI and Inverness. Lots of restaurants, stores, etc. all nearby. Free bus, too! Cons-extremely windy on beach, pool and patios, plan for this! Umbrella and two lounge chairs are $35 to rent for 7 hours, umbrellas are $15-25 at CVS-get a pole digger and some cheap chairs or bring $$$. Jacuzzi very hot-okay in winter but too hot in April. Be very careful where you step in the ocean and beach!!! 3/4 of us ended up with tar like substance on our feet-very difficult to remove-you would ruin sandals. Note the oil rigs off shore. Some of the listed supplies were on hand (tp and pt thank goodness) but no dish towels or kitchen garbage bag. Be aware that VRBO hands you off to SPI and then you stay at Inverness where they also rent condos. Ours was private but we were given only one key fob at SPI told to get another from the desk at Inverness. BUT at Inverness we were told we had to get another from SPI, when we dropped the fob off upon check out at SPI, we were told we’re only supposed to get one. Too many involved means blame goes back and forth and customer not satisfied. Ended up with ONE key fob for 5 people. You will need a key fob to get into and out of the pool, jacuzzi and the beach door out back.

Great property

Property was outstanding…great views, extremely clean and great location to walk to food, bars and etc. Highly recommend this property. The only thing I would add is that the check in and out process is a little repetitive, meaning you have to first go to 2600 Padre and then you have to check in at the property. Not to big of a hassle, just seemed a bit of an overkill.

Can’t beat the views and the location

This property truly has the best balcony and views on the island. The close access to the beach was great. The smaller bedrooms have blackout shades, but the East facing master bedroom does not. Be prepared to wake early with the sun because the shades are nearly sheer in that room. Plan to bring your own amenities, even dishwasher detergent and a hairdryer. Kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses and silverware, but sparse with cooking supplies. Communication with the property manager was done via text so checking in, parking, and checkout instructions were quite vague. Overall, a wonderful stay, the condo was beautiful.

It was ok but probably won’t return

The condo it’s self was nice but the lack of a in the condo washer and dryer will be the main reason we won’t come back. The building staff was mostly rude leaving notes taped to our car doors about silly stuff like no front license plate, golf carts, or that our truck was too long was not necessary. No gate key fobs provided. Double charged us for our stay, took 4 days to refund. No bed spread on master bed. Small assortment of kitchen tools. No kitchen hand towels or soap. Stay was good but will probably choose another place next trip to South Padre.
