Adorable Beach Bungalow - Awesome location! Walk to beach and town!

Truly a home away from home! The cottage, located at 128 Superior St., consists of four bedrooms, two full baths and sleeps 11. The three upstairs bedrooms feature a master room with queen bed, a room with two single beds, and a room with a full bed and twin bunk over it. Redecorated in 2023, the new sectional sofa provides comfort and seating for everyone! Also new, the upstairs bedrooms have individual air conditioning units. The main level bedroom features a queen bed and a trundle bed (two twin mattresses.) There is a pocket door that can be used to create privacy between the room with the queen bedroom and the room with the twin trundle bed. (Ordinance will not allow me to list these as two separate bedrooms.) The dining table seats plenty with bench seating and the smart TV in the family room makes TV viewing a pleasure.The open concept floor plan maximizes the space and flows comfortably. Enjoy the cottage's screened-in porch where you can watch the comings and goings of everyone on their way to the beach or downtown, and the best part, the mosquitoes won't get you! It is always everyone's favorite place to relax! The cottage is walking distance to beach and downtown - one block to beach and two blocks to the riverwalk and downtown. Look west and you can capture the beautiful sunset or stroll on down to the bluff to see the skyline up close and personal! Kids need to burn off some steam? Walk them a few blocks to the great family park and playground, Kid's Corner. They will also find entertainment in the "kid room" which features some toys, easel, and a kid craft table. Bring your bikes, or rent them from one of the many bicycle rental shops in town, and enjoy the VanBuren Bike Trail, which conveniently passes by the cottage.
The cottage has cable TV, wi-fi, air conditioning, gas grill, and washer/dryer. New for 2022, all the bedrooms upstairs have their own air conditioning unit. The kitchen is ready for use and has everything you need for cooking and serving. There is a coffee maker and a Keurig. We also provide everything you need to start off your vacation - paper towel, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. We provide bedding and bath towels, both of which are newly purchased. All you need to do is bring your clothes and beach towel!
The home has been impeccably maintained and our renters always comment on the amazing location and decor. Come see for yourself!

Rentals during prime summer weeks run Sunday to Sunday. There is flexibility for check-in day and minimum stay for some June and August weeks. Send me an inquiry to find out more.

Check-in time is 4pm. Check-out is promptly at 11am. Please respect these times as the cottage needs to be cleaned for new arrivals.

We all enjoyed the location of the house, it was walkable to the beach and downtown, so wonderful! The screened in porch was our favorite hangout- we loved watching and greeting the people who walked by.. we also loved hanging out on the comfortable large couch… it was the perfect size house for our family and friends! The house was nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed…there was a binder with helpful information about anything we needed locally!I would recommend you stay here.. we enjoyed every minute!nice and

Excellent location!

Very comfortable home that is walking distance to the beach. Kitchen has supplies for cooking. Washer and dryer upstairs are so convenient. Each bathroom has a tub which made it easier to bathe little kids. Water toys in the garage were wonderful. Beds were soft and comfortable. Kitchen table was large enough to fit us all. Will highly recommend to others!

Holiday weekend was perfect!

This house is wonderful! It is within walking distance to both the beach and downtown and the owners let us borrow the beach wagon, which really helped. They provided all that was necessary and we had enough room inside and out for the 9 of us. It was clean, well decorated and had new heating/air and appliances. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

South Haven with the Family

We had a great time, all as promised. 2 blocks from the overlook of the lake, 4 blocks to get to South Beach, about 6 blocks to downtown. Great house for the 10 of us. We hope to return. Thanks Amy!

A perfect beach getaway

Overall, the beach bungalow is a fantastic place and I recommend it to others! I’ll be happy to stay there again if I find myself in south haven in the future. It’s got everything you need and is steps away from the beach. It was a great place to have fun, unplug, and relax.

Beach Getaway

The Beach House was a perfect getaway for us! Location is excellent- very close to the beach and walking distance from downtown. We loved the screened in porch for morning coffee and evening relaxation time. Highly recommend!

Great location, renovated but still old in some ways

The location of this house is perfect - two blocks to the stairs to the beach, easy walk to downtown. I thought, from the photos, the house was recently renovated or maybe even new. It is not. It was renovated at some time, but the floors are slanted and the fixtures show wear. All of that was fine, I just expecting something newer. The house decor is cute. The furniture is comfortable, though there are not enough seats for the number of guests it can accommodate. The dining table only has benches. The stove needs to be lighted with a lighter, and the dishwasher is small. There is no real yard, so cookouts would be on the driveway. Having said that, we had a great time! Just think of it as an older South Haven house - it was like many others we have stayed in.

Perfect for our 2 families

The space was clean and well maintained. We had 2 families stay there with 5 kids under 7 and the layout was perfect for it. One family of 4 took the downstairs bedrooms and family of 5 upstairs. The kids toys was a welcomed bonus for our Littles, and the common area was big enough we didn't feel crowded on a rainy day. We walked to town and the beach every day and even a couple of the kids could walk it without riding in a wagon. I would recommend this house to families, and would stay here again 100%.

Fantastic location

Second year staying at this place. Clean and perfect location. 2 blocks to beach and town! Owner extremely responsive. Had one small issue and the owner had someone out to fix it ASAP. Will definitely stay here again.

Great home and great location

We prefer homes that the owners use themselves. This home falls into that category. The place is clean and cared for and we would do for our own vacation home. I would suggest this place to anyone and will probably stay there again.

Charming and Quaint House at a Great Location

This house is very charming. The screened in porch was a wonderful way to share our coffee in the morning, and wine in the evening. The beach is a quick stroll to watch the magnificent sunsets. My sisters & I had a marvelous time. The owner was very responsive to our requests. Overall, it was fabulous.
