Wooded Retreat, Welcome to the Woods! Fun, Games! Destress,Quiet Private Setting

Wooded Retreat is a private studio apartment separate from main house, surrounded by trees and nature. Sitting on your deck you feel as though you in the trees. Watch deer, wild turkeys and rascally squirrels working feverishly gathering pine nuts!! Please feel free to explore the grounds. Walk in the woods, or sit on our man made beach, around the fire pit watching the sunset! Take a nap or read a book from the library on the hammock. Only spaces we prefer you not explore are the garage and main house & deck please and thank you. We have two mountain bikes, and for winter we have two snow sleds ( see pics) available for our guests to use at no extra charge. You must however have a truck or proper restraint system for transporting them. We are approximately 10 min. to Twain Harte, 12 min. to Sonora, 15 min..To Jamestown, Columbia State Park and Airport, 30 min. To Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort depending on weather and road conditions. Phoenix Lake Golf course is a beautiful 9 hole course a very short 1/2 mile from our property, perfect for hitting a quick bucket of balls! We have numerous lakes, hiking/biking trails, and we are approximately 1 hour to the gate of Yosemite National Park.

Darling apartment, well appointed and stocked with K-cups, tea bags, fresh fruit, chocolate, and even a popcorn machine. Books, games, movie CDs, for down time. Beautiful, quiet, woodsy location. Will enjoy again and again!

Adriana’s wooded retreat was the perfect cozy, clean, and quiet escape for my girlfriend and I. Everything was perfect as advertised, we used the kitchen, popcorn machine, played a couple games and really enjoyed our time there. This place isn’t just a place to sleep, it’s a part of the vacation!

Wow! We had a wonderful time staying here as it felt cozy, comfortable and welcoming. What a wonderful host and a peaceful environment that made our short getaway even better! Clean, spacious, well stocked and perfect for the two of us to rest after spending time in Sonora and hiking in the mountains not far away. We would definitely love to visit again.

Adriana always has everything ready and is a great hostess. I highly recommend if you are visiting the Sonora area! Our kids live a couple places down the way in the area. We absolutely would stay here again!

We went to the retreat and had some unforeseen circumstances come up that we needed to switch our 4 days. When I explained situation she gracious said we could stay 4 days later for our 4 days :). I am so grateful as I did not expect it. Very cute, clean and quiet

Best Mountain Get-A-Way!❤️

Me and my girlfriend had such a wonderful stay at this upstairs cottage. We had access to our own bathroom kitchen and around the property riding the bikes was a blast. We accidentally left our phones in the house and had to ask for the pass key around 2 AM which was unexpected and luckily the homeowner was awake.Sorry guys for waking you! I give our stay a 10+ Plus lots of fun!

Well maintained place

The room was big, clean and very nice maintained. The host goes above and beyond. We had coffee, tea, fresh fruits and bottled water in the fridge. Very nice experience.

Host is very accommodating and we highly recommend this for your get-away. It has all the amenities one would need ( and more than you would need). We would be open to coming back and staying here when we return the this area if the dates are available. Loved it!

I have absolutely nothing but good to say about this stay. It was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed. It truly was a wooded retreat. Very quiet nights and early mornings upon which you could hear wild turkeys outside. Communication was excellent. Everything about this stay was excellent. Everything from ready to use coffee cups, a basket of fresh fruit, and so much more. It was a getaway that my girlfriend and I desperately needed. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet place of solitude that’s not too far away from dining, historic parks, and more. It was well worth it.
