Solitude

I usually don’t do this, but I had the worst experience with this place. When we first walked in, it was filthy! The carpet looked like they were from a 1970s basement, and the rest of the property matches this decor. We got to our room and the phone didn’t work and there wasn’t a shower curtain. Seems like you can’t pay an employee to care, except for driver, he was cool. There wasn’t a hotel party above our room, and I called the front desk multiple times and they couldn’t stop the noise because “his hands are tied” because it was a group of minors unsupervised just doing whatever they wanted. So, essentially I paid to spend a weekend in absolute hell with these kids partying above me, and I slept for a total of 3 hours. Anyways, you shouldn’t stay here. Unless you want to suffer and waste your money.

The Mayflower Hotel is perfectly located in Downtown Seattle, a short walk to almost anything. Although an old hotel, it retains a wonderful sense of classic graciousness--starting with the perfect martinis served in downstairs Oliver's. My wife and I almost always stay in the Mayflower when in Seattle, which is often. There's no better value around.

Clean, safe, and comfortable. Bike rental on site and very close parking ( pay). Beds are comfy.
