"Great place to stay in heart of Christchurch, overlooking the cathedral. The renovations are beautiful, giving a relaxing, arty vibe in which to relax, with a high standard of decor. "Staff were lovely and attentive. The breakfast was lovely and made to order. The bathroom was very nice and modern. However the main part of the room was tired. It lacked any decoration and had a tv that was very old and small. The tv was a bit lumpy and not super comfortable. The worst thing was though that the walls and ceilings were not very sound insulating. We kept hearing the people above us stomp around at all hours of the night and being woken up between 2:30-3 because of people...

"Great room, good and clean. Great decor and would certainly visit again. (Too good to say a "stay" as host so personable and friendly). Self check in as such, but only because of our travel time varied, would have been met by owners. Great hosts, giving good local advice and hints and tips, could not do enough to help us a new to the area. Bed very comfortable and certainly a warm room. We felt really at home here. "Spotless. Resupply of milk, cookies and other water! Food fabulous! Just a tad noisy it carries, with bar, restaurant all the one room, no carpet but in the summer I am sure with doors open that would soon be fixed."
