THE UNIT:

Welcome home to Mountain Lodge unit 161, a delightful place to spend your next Snowshoe Mountain vacation getaway!

This extremely roomy and inviting 3-bedroom/3-bathroom property is on the first floor and sleeps eight guests. If you’re looking for the perfect place for large groups, family gatherings, or special occasions, this one is it! With 1,246 square feet, you’ll absolutely love the spaciousness of this unit! Mountain Lodge 161 features an expansive kitchen with 126” of beautiful granite countertops with plenty of cabinet space and you’ll wish this kitchen was your very own. It comes fully stocked with all the basics you'll need to prepare, cook, and serve mouthwatering meals.

Within the expanded space, you’ll find plateware, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and toaster. Or, if you’re tired of preparing your own meals, consider a short stroll to the magical Snowshoe mountain top village to peruse its numerous shopping and dining options.

Enjoy coming together and sitting down with your group at the dining room table which can accommodate up to eight people where you can catch up and talk about your fun day or plan out the next day’s adventures.

From the living room, enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, a glass of wine, or a good book and cozy up to the electric fireplace during cold nights. Take in the fresh mountain air from the brand-new 7’x14’ deck.

For your comfort, this unit has a large bedroom with a queen bed and its own attached bathroom. The second smaller bedroom across the hall also has a queen bed with a bathroom in the hall. The third and last bedroom is on the opposite side of the unit and features a queen bed with its own bathroom. All three bathrooms in the property have modern and updated vanities. For additional sleeping capacity, the living room has a queen sleeper sofa for up to two additional people.

In the hall, you’ll appreciate all the hooks to store your jackets, ski, and board equipment.

Your housekeeping package includes linens for each bedroom (sheets and pillowcases) and bathroom (towels, washcloths, and a bath mat), a dish towel, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, liquid dish soap (for hand washing), powdered dish detergent (for the dishwasher), bath soap bars, and coffee filters.

THE RESORT:

At 4,848 feet, Snowshoe Mountain has the best skiing south of Vermont and east of Colorado, and is the perfect all-season destination in West Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains. You’re sure to find activities and adventures to keep all your family members happy.
● Winter – With an average yearly snowfall of 180 inches, the mountain offers 250 acres of skiable terrain, 61 slopes, 12 lifts, night skiing in Silver Creek, and five terrain parks for all skill levels. When you feel like taking a break from skiing or snowboarding, consider the many other activities available such as the Coca-Cola tubing park, Polaris RZR tours, snowmobile tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and the Snowshoe spa, to name a few.
● Summer – Enjoy the Snowshoe Bike Park with 40 downhill trails. Other activities include hiking, horseback riding, geocaching, clay shooting, golfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, relaxing on the sandy beach by Shavers Lake, etc.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
● Mountain Lodge features equipment lockers for rent (each holds up to two mountain bikes), for $15/per day on a first-come/first-serve basis, an arcade for the kids and young at heart, an inviting lobby built around a large fireplace (lit in the winter), laundry facilities, conference rooms, and a prime location that’s just a quick walk to Snowshoe’s main high-speed quad lift, Split Rock Pools, Wildcat Grocery, and the St. Bernard Chapel.
● Please be courteous and considerate of the other guests and abide by the quiet hours from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
● Party away on the mountain or at a local restaurant. But, please, no parties in the condo.
● Free bus shuttles are available from the Village to Top of the Mountain, and to Silver Creek for night skiing. Reach the Western Territory by way of the Silver Creek shuttle.
● If you need additional accommodations, please ask me about my other condos in the Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

PETS: We absolutely adore our furry friends and wish you could bring them with you. Unfortunately, Mountain Lodge does not allow guests to bring pets of any type. As such, we have to insist you find alternative accommodations for your pets. However, if you have a certified Service Animal, let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you. Service animals must be registered when you check-in at the front desk.

EARLY CHECK-IN: While we know you are excited to kick off your vacation, please note we cannot guarantee check-in prior to 5:00 PM. Mountain Lodge may be able to accommodate your request for an earlier check-in as long as the room is clean and set up.

LATE CHECK-OUT: Unfortunately, these are not possible. If you’d like a late checkout so you can enjoy all the mountain has to offer, we’re happy to book you for another night, if this or any of our other properties is available.

PARKING: Your reservation includes parking for up to as many vehicles as there are bedrooms in the condo you’ve booked. Any additional vehicles will be allowed to unload passengers and luggage at the Mountain Lodge main entrance, but will then need to find parking outside of the Mountain Lodge parking lot. We welcome you to park for free at the Top of the World (left out of Mountain Lodge parking lot; one mile up the road). From there, you can take the shuttle to the Village, and walk to Mountain Lodge. It is imperative that you move your vehicle(s) out of the Mountain Lodge parking lot immediately following check-out, as the lot is not large enough to accommodate vehicles of incoming Guests in addition to those of departing Guests.

Very clean and great communication. Conveniently located to BallHooter lift. The only thing we would have liked would be a way to get it a little cooler at night in the bedrooms. It was definitely warm. Being able to adjust the temp is the only issue we had. Great place!

We loved this condo while visiting Snowshoe! When we arrived we had realized that we forgot our son’s sleeping arrangements. I texted Mari and she was able to find me a pack-n-play within two hours and had it delivered to the room. Exceptional communication, comfortable beds, and an overall great place for bringing friends and family together. Thank you!

Great place to stay!

We were very happy with this property. We had six adults in our party and it was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The entire place was very clean. Lots of pots and pans for cooking. It was located right at the main ski lift so we easily got outside to have some fun. There were plenty of ski racks to hang your skis, coats, etc inside the condo. The only drawback was that the kids play area was close by, so the kids were loud as they played. That would be great for anyone who had little kids with them. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

Beautiful location.

We were in a perfect location for our needs. We were only able to be there one night, and many places required a 2 night minimum due to the holiday weekend. We happened upon Tim’s listing, and were able to book for 1 night. They couldn’t have been nicer. They sent very clear directions for everything. Would stay again if in the area. Clean condo. Plenty of room for everyone.

Wonderful stay

Me and my family had an excellent time The condo is wonderful it is well equipped, very clean all the necessities, even hard boot dryers. It is in a perfect location. ML 161 super stay for 3 couples

We enjoyed the open living/dining/kitchen areas and found the whole unit comfortable and well organized. Three separate bedrooms gave our party of 4 room to spread out and have privacy. We found everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen to cook for ourselves most nights. The only down side was that it was occasionally noisy between 9am-11pm because all bedrooms share walls with the lodge hallway. Would definitely come again with a group!

Snoeshoe 4848 Music Festival Weekend

Excellent location to venue. Furniture is a little dated but overall very comfortable and clean. Very roomy.. Has full kitchen and everything you need to be comfortable. Unit faces the parking lot but most time was spent outside so not a big deal. I enjoyed it.

Snowshoe at its BEST!

Mountain Lodge 161 was a really nice condo that is close to the village. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The A/C in the living area was really nice for our June visit.
