"The hotel reception was well run and check-in went very smoothly. Our room which was on the ground floor was spacious, very clean and well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. The only down side was the complicated lighting arrangement in the room. In the morning, we found the breakfast well stocked with a reasonable range of item. All in all it was a very nice stay"

"Very nice young lady checked us in. Very friendly and helpful. There is a gym, pool and spa treatments on site. Restaurants and bar available too. Food was good although limited choice if you were staying more than one night. Room we thought was a bit small by comparison to other chain hotels we've stayed in. That said it was clean and the bed was a comfy std double. The shower wasn't great! Water hot but no matter where you put the controller we couldn't get anywhere near adequate water...

"Staff were very helpful at all times. Accommodation was ground floor, clean and tidy. Parking was excellent,also. "

"Great location in a beautiful village. Easy parking. Nicely furnished rooms and really friendly staff. Great pub menu and great breakfast!"

"Lovely large room on the 2nd floor with a little balcony and huge bed. Extremely comfortable with good facilities and it was nice to have access to the spa. Breakfast was also very nice, with a very good selection and good quality. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from tow, so it's in an ideal location with free parking which is always a bonus. Overall a lovely venue for a short break. "

"Check in was very easy, staff on desk polite and nothing too much trouble. Room spotless and comfy. Good facilities, shower, tea and coffee etc. Breakfasts were very good with a decent choiceof food. Checknout was as easy as checking in. Would use again and definitely recommend. "

"Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out and made us feel completely looked after. The room was beautifully appointed, with everything we could need, and the bed was especially comfortable.
